I'm so used to immediately clean my steaming wand after steaming milk that this video causes me an OCD even when I'm not an OCD person 🤣. But on the bright side, it has been very informative and well explained!
suitable or not to not purge all machines, it must be pruned since coffee oxidizes the same, and it causes the shower of the machine group to deteriorate in the long term, I say this from experience, and the steam wand must be cleaned immediately this or this When the machine is ready, the crest that forms from the milk is difficult to remove later and makes it unpleasant in the next preparation
Played with both but bought the Delonghi since I got a 40% discount on it. I like more the grinder and the portafilter of the Breville and the more "manual" feel overall. That said, I like the tamping station of the Delongui and like the steam wand more even with the lack of mobility. Since it's a 3 holes steam want, it take some time to get used to it because the wand should not be put at the same place as a 1 hole one. I was frustrated at the beginning but after some training, I can't go back. I did not really see any big difference on the shoot themselves but I am not a pro. To me they are both capable. So 2 good machines !

Finally purchasing a machine, leaning towards the Pro: couple questions for you. Does the pro do cold brew? Can it do regular coffee? And Is there a newer, better option now being the video was a year ago?
Hi Albert! No the pro does not do cold brew of regular coffee (no espresso machine does). But to make an iced beverage on the Pro just pour the espresso over ice and add cold water :) The pro is still an amazing machine! What drew you to it in the first place?
Breville Barista Pro, with me is better Delonghi (new version) on: - Single wall basket filter (drinker can get the best quality coffee in cup) - With the Pressurise filter like delonghi, i am sure is not good, really not good for some specialty beans. - and the Breville portafilter 54mm (better for coffee extraction) - Grinding time control: 0.2s/level: Breville is better this point also - Tamping: both is not good :)) - and the Bre Display easier for newbie Barista or control temperature - Milk steam: Booth the same but can hear from your videos, sure Breville is better or less water inside the milk.
51mm portafilter is not a good size to be honest. And Delonghi manufactured a specific type of 51mm (dupio) basket which tapers downwards, meaning the bottom is only about 46mm. Combined with the yet again special design of the basket holes, you have basically a pseudo-pressurized single wall basket. Not to mention the special (bruh) plastic insert within the portafilter that slows the high pressure coffee stream to mimic real espresso's honey like flow. Delonghi really does everything to make its machine appear professional, and that by itself is not exactly a bad thing. But to advertise the Specialista series as actual professional standard machine is arguably bad faith. The grinder has too few adjustment steps to really dial in, the dose knob is not precise, and the integrated tamper encourages a quick, no puck prep workflow. All of these points towards newbie consumers who do not really care about the fuss but still want a drinkable cup of coffee. In that case, the Prestigio requires no skill and literally any types of bean would work well enough. I can say it's a perfect machine for someone who doesn't care about coffee as a hobby, doesn't plan to upgrade, doesn't want to spend too much time on making a cup of coffee, yet still wants a nice milk drink and wants to look cool doing barista stuffs. IT IS BY NO MEANS A MACHINE FOR HOBBYISTS!
Assuming you meant to say "Very" biased . (Assuming V meant Very and was too long to type.) We have preferences and those are opinions of course...that's the point of the video...opinions from people that sell thousands of these...Opinions that are based on the fact we use these daily. We are in fact a fan of both companies. And funny enough I have no idea which one you think we are biased about without rewatching this video again since we do so many on both brands.

Yes you are not the only one... Its just out right no no

with sane, it also gave me that knock, it not only gave me I have it, because I am a barista

How do you get 40% discount???
Who else is watching this at ridiculous-o'clock after drinking French press coffee at 9pm?

Really well done. Very easy to understand and excellent presentation. Nice job!
Glad it was helpful!
My Barista Pro is ready to go in about 3 seconds from turning on. Fantastic machine and the main reason I chose that model. Both great machines
Good choice!
This is a great comparison between the two!

Although both coffee makers offer very good benefits
So the espresso from Barista Pro tastes better?
I like the look of the DeLonghi, it seems to be more heavy duty over-the Breville !
They are very comparable in terms of longevity :)
What's the difference in warranty between these two manufacturers?
May vary by country. Delonghi in Canada 2+1 year once registered. Breville 2.
In the UK but get the confidence that this is a place where they'll sell you what you need rather than whatll make them more profit

The Delonghi has non pressurized filter baskets. You’re probably referring to the regular specialista machine. This is the new prestigio
biggest complain for the delonghi is the use of alot of plastic

very fair review
Thank you
Delonghni could have done so much better with this effort.
I don't see her applying 30lbs pressure to it
She's pretty strong :)
It’s so obvious that she is so pro Breville, and not DeLonghi ! Just saying
can’t focus…too many distraction 😝
