  • I took my first trip to Michigans Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan to ride Shivering Timbers. Did it crack my Top 10 and is it the best Timbers in the Cedar Fair chain? Let’s find out the answers to these questions and even more surprises at this small park!

Timbers is amazing, we drove 3.5 hours one way for it last year. My number 2 woodie under Voyage.

I was there on the 9th, and I felt like Timbers had octagons for wheels...

This coaster really is elite! It's a shame the park is so far away from everything else.

Wolverine Wildcat just got a bunch of gravity group precut track abd it really elevated the ride experience in the first half.

It truly did, but now I have an excuse to go back to Michigan’s Adventure again. I need more re-rides on ST for sure!

Just rode Timbers twice today for the very first time. Great coaster. It's rougher than Mean Streak ever was. Front was a much better ride than the back where I discovered 2 very painful potholes and was thoroughly beaten every time we landed an airtime moment. Fun, but sadly not a marathon coast for me. Or anywhere near a top 10. Overall the park was the second or third smallest park I've ever been too. The park is neatly landscaped but pretty bare bones. No architecture, dark rides, shows or attractions and extremely basic food offerings. There is fun to be had with small crowds and many walk on attractions. Out of the 4 major coasters, all but the corkscrew need some serious TLC. Wildcat has some great refurbished sections and a good layout, but much of it quite rough and feels like square wheels. I too found myself battling with Timber Hawk. It's surprising scenic but the old school over the shoulder restraints ruin the ride.
