One of the only realistic repair video's I've seen. Someone struggling for 20 min trying to open the glass, happens every time. I hate doing iPads.

what are the drawbacks of not using an OEM screen?

You will not be able to buy any OEM parts for apple. They do not consent to anyone repairing their products besides their own repair shops.

does it give you the message " the iPad cant verify if the screen is an apple genuine" ??

Do you know if a 2020 or 2018 iPad LCD screen will also work? It looks like the same thing

Buen video, solo como observación lo siguiente : no meter la cuña justo debajo de los pines de la batería ya que se pueden dañar.

i think you said one word incorrectly and that confused me a little bit. you said that we need to review “broken” screen but i think it should be: “ review new screen “

I dont understand how you Raise the battery connector with just a plastic pry tool...I'm trying it with a iPad pro and it's not anywhere near as easy as this video makes it out to be

I use a much thinner plastic card cut to about 2 inches wide with a notch cut in it to straddle the battery screw post. (google iPad battery block to see). Unless you have an ultra thin guitar pick, it's very difficult with any heavier plastic pick. The best battery block will have a notch cut in it to straddle the screw mount post once you remove the screw, you should be able to slowly work it between the logic board and battery board. Slight heat may help in some circumstances where it is extra tough because the logic board has adhesive also holding it down to the rear housing too, not just the screw. I have had a few iPad where I applied light heat to the backside of the housing to loosen the adhesive that is between the housing and logic board and the battery block would slide in much easier.

I don't like this video. You didn't show how to glue the glass

Great technical video...... but can't stand the 'egotistically negative impulsive music'. Manny (guitar/keyboard player - rock, blues, jazz, celtic, indian, latin, ambient musical influences)
