This is a nice fix by an experienced Tech. Disciplined and controlled the Tech must be in order to minimise risk of further damage and provide a permanent fix for the customer. This is clearly demonstrated here. The owner of this iPad has done the correct thing and maximised chances of a permanent fix by NOT attempting a DIY repair. This gets a BIG 👍 from me. 🇬🇧
Thank you for sharing you are very skilled and professional. I have a question, when you are removing the screen what are you using in the little bottle? Thank you
Great video my question is what do you tell the customer ahead of time before you disassemble it and they’re always is a chance you’re going to damage the face recognition system if you did damage it what would you tell them.
Suggestions Zoom in in the part where you are removing face I'd bracket from screen. You are using metal to pry out and disconnect cables. Try plastic .
hi, does replacing the screen mean that the new screen will no longer have ProMotion? because im worried that the replacement screen will end up being a 60 hz refresh compared to the 120 hz origional??
Hello, thank you for the Video. I replaced mine but now my Apple Pencil is not working, only on the edges. I bought a good replacement screen. Could it be an Apple ic Chip Problem, so hat you have to solder the old Chip to the new one? This would be nearly impossible for me…
Hi thank you for a very useful video. I replaced the same model ipad screen however, the Face ID cable got damaged during the process. I ordered the replacement cable and installed and now it still says Face ID unavailable try this later I've tried force restart, reset all the settings upgrade software etc but nothing works What should I do?? Please any idea?
The face ID is married to the motherboard you cannot buy another face ID and get it to work. I believe the only way to get it to work is take it to Apple to get it repaired and they’re gonna want the original receipt that the unit was purchased on to prove that it was your unit then they’ll charge you to fix it. Don’t waste your time because they’re the only ones who can marry a new face recognition to the unit
Hi! Thanks fo the video! I have question. If I have to replace the USB-C charging port, will I need to remove the shield (as of 8:30) and disconnect the battery? or I can replace the connector without doing so.
Hi, thanks for this helpful video. I saw how you remove the Face ID. I did it exactly the same way when I replaced a screen and lcd on my iPad Pro 2nd but mine got ruined. The Face ID never work again. Would mind telling me why?
WATCH OUT for the left hinge everyone. Not emphasized in here whatsoever Can't believe I watched THIS guy for screen removal with THIS type of an iPad🤦🏼♂️
Hi! Somebody told me there is a 99% chance an ipad pro (newer models without home button slim bezle) screen breaks when trying to get to the inside (my ipad won’t turn on). my ipad won’t power on and I wonder what my chances are. looking for a repair service as good as yours in Melbourne Australia. cheers!
I have bought some amflux from you guys in the syringe but has come un marked and not labelled. I thought all amflux came in a proper package and labelled up? Cheers
You might want to check ifixit teardowns/repair guides if the connector is the same. My guess is that you definitely can if the connectors are the same. Since its the same lcd display
anybody who attempts this fix without having done this before.... you are doomed to fail! go to an expert, or buy an ipad that has drop insurance on it hahaha GREAT VIDEO! put those protective layers on your ipads, will save you from having to deal with this nuisance :D
I got away with using a very thin strip of Tesa Tape to keep the ribbon down. B-7000 works but you have to wait for it to dry and customers want their device right now right now.
"Apple dont make it easy" - never a truer word!
Apple making those so hard for other ppl not to messed with only apple 😒

Isopropyl alcohol probably
Acetone is a good dissolver of adhesive
You’re a pro. You deserve all the likes👍🏼
Your video is great but can you blur out the customer's phone number please? Is the liquid to remove the cables paint thinners?

well probably don't use any at all to remove the screen if you still need it.
Actually I’m unsure about the alcohol. Might have been the suction cup.
