I always hoped there was some kind of end, but was disappointed to discover it just kept looping through seasons. Why not an end? Have something to work towards? But I loved the hundreds of hours I spent playing it.
Now THIS is the version of Spy Hunter that I had. Except at the very beginning of mine, there was this skull with blinking red and blue eyes with a bunch of text over it. I didn't realize until much later in life, this was a very early software pirate signature embedded into the beginning of the game.
I also had the c64 version; btw, the joystick you'd've used on the c64 didn't have enough fire buttons for all the moves. A SEGA genesis controller could solve the problem (esp. the 6 button variant), but I understand you can't just plug it in, as something in the hardware would fry; some modding has to be done first.
The graphics weren't up to much, but the playability on this game was perfect. I still have fond memories of playing this!
The worst was when you’d get killed in the truck- that always drove me bonkers!
Hours and hours playing this game.

Oh, also there was a much shorter music loop than here and it went to silence very shortly after. Plus I never saw a missile truck.

Converted from the console Colecovision. i wonder if Activision chose their name by this console, anyway.
