This tech just placed the dust filter wrong way. Good job showing what not to do

The arrow should help? How does it help if you don't say which way the arrow should point? No part numbers either. Yeah I know we can all spend a few extra minutes and look it up online but if you're being useful, go a step further and have all the info include screw driver type and size. The video's only useful tip is showing the filters location.

Have you ever replaced a filter? It is universally known arrow goes towards direction of air flow. HVAC filters are the same as are any filters or shut off valves.

Wish it was this easy. The combination filter cannot be replaced without serious removal of the carpet. This is not a DIY process for the Mercedes C-300 2015.

No kidding this is NOT a DIY project.

isn't there a filter for the engine / intake? if so, is there a video of it?

I replaced the OEM combination filter(under-hood, air-intake) today by myself with a febi bilstein cabin filter. I noticed that the OEM one has some light black coat on it, not sure whether it is the activated carbon coating or just dirty (but it looks like not dirty since not obvious big stuff chunk in there)? But I am certain that the febi bilstein cabin filter does not have light black coat on it so it appears totally white. Anyone had experience on replacing the combination filter(under-hood, air-intake) by themselves and could you please tell me whether the OEM one has carbon coating? I am sure that the inside filter(at blower housing) has the carbon coating but idk about the under-hood one. If the under-hood one does have carbon coating then I may purchase a new OEM one.
Also, anyone has idea about the quality of febi bilstein cabin filters?

There are 2 types by every manufacturer and carbon one is more expensive

The video is so misleading in the effort. I fix my cars for 20 years and this is one of the most frustrated jobs. The roof panel is not so easy to take down, the filter is not so easy to put back in (or even pull out), and the hardest part - put the roof panel back in. let the MB dealer do this work.

changing mine on my 2021 C63s LAST V8 soon I changed the engine air filters and found that the OEM came damaged from the factory of a new car smh. What part number is the cabin air filter under the glove box

In all my cars changing the cabin air filter ($20) was a sub 5 min job.
    W205 C300 '15 air filters ($80) and a weekend project :) or pay 300 for a dealer..

15 mm Torx is needed, but 2 questions
    1. For engine bay how did u get the trim to completely come out I can only unlock and then can bend it up at a 30 degree angle.. enough to access the filter.
    2. Under the glove box it seems the carpet gets in the way restricting the movement of the plastic cover.. and recommendations here?

On the technician's arm -- is that a tattoo of Dustin Hoffman in the movie Tootsie?

It looks like the "air flow" arrow is facing AWAY from tech (@0:50). Then he inserts with arrow facing toward plastic cover bottom, thus pointing UP when installed. Isn't that opposite of air flow coming into hood, into cabin?

Anybody know what screwdriver and size you need to remove the screw below the dash ?
