Fuck yeah, Donny. That _is_ the real shit. Skateparks can be fun sometimes but no trick at a skatepark will ever be as satisfying to watch or perform as something done at a street spot. Don’t let ‘em cage you in, kids. Go fuckin wild. Long live Donny 👏
This is an old breed nowadays, it's interesting to see. My dad taught me how to skateboard and he had the same attitude. It wasn't a sport to him, and I noticed the same attitude from a lot of people back in the 80s and 90s. It really was just some punk shit.
I don’t think I’ve ever met him, but Donny has shaped my life more than anyone. Back in the MySpace days, his profile woke me up and changed the way I see the world. Donny, if you’re reading this, thank you. I have no idea where I’d be today without you. 👊🏼
Hell yeah! I've been skating since 84. It's good to see a 50 year old getting it on the street. I love street skating! But, my fifty year old knee and ankle hates flicking & pushing.
He kinda reminds me of Louie Barletta in a way..im 46 & enjoyin skating still, even after a couple of years of feelin burnt..videos like this makes me motivated, cheers to u 2..
I feel like the current generation is all about 360 flips, the generation before them is kickflips, my generation is fakie big spins, and before mine was acrobatics
Nice to see the princeton spots get some shine. Yamasaki/fountain looks so sick now - it was just finished when I was leaving town, so nothing was waxed or grindable and the security was even worse.
I'll take the chunkiest curb in a shitty parking lot over almost any skatepark, so I feel that. It's probably an old head thing, skateparks were so rare when I was coming up that they just never felt right to me.
Homie looks good af for 50 dude. Skating keeps you young... I guess. I miss the punk mentality of skating. I mean its rad that its grown so much and all that but I miss the days of it just being some punk guy stuff. Donny is inspirational and reminiscent. I'm down with all aspects of this video.
So sick to see he is still ripping! Always knew him from that famous Love Park clip and always thought his name was Bianco though. On a side note, that last spot you were skating was Princeton, right? Seems like the main ledges have been skatestopped, haven't they?
Thanks for responding. I recognized the legdes from a Jimmy Chung clip.. Graters on the floor seems deadly to a spot. Glad you and Mr.Asta skate there nonetheless. :) Shoutout from eu!
the essence of Skateboarding is the basic act of cruising, or street surfing. The rest is variations and extensions of that root activity. Punk shit lawl or counter culture. (=
Dont take the parks forgranted though. Im nearly 50, and would give my left nut to be able to skate some of the newer skateparks and plaza style parks, and i was a committed real street guy from 88 to 04, when i broke my back. On a skate trick. Destroyed 3 disc in back, cue 2 decades of being effed. I would be out there now. This is in the uk btw. What was it back in the day, that skaters didnt think they could skate after 25. I suppose we just hadnt seen many doing into their 30s.

I like how he has his own strong stance on what skatboarding is to him while not gatekeeping others away as not "real" skaters.
F'in legend! Love that dude... the spirit of skateboarding personified!
Awesome. I’m currently riding Donnie’s They Live graphic.

This was dope. It kinds remined me of like an epicly latered or like an out there video. Definitely cool. That bank to wallride was mad good
Thanks homie, I appreciate you!
Yeah dawg I don't use wheels anymore just doesn't feel real. Straight bearings only
In the early 90s we had some wheels that were 29mm, called Bearing Covers lol

Good to see Donnie out there still rolling! ❤️

I respect it.

Donny is a fucking legend. One of my favorite tricks down the LOVE gap.
That wallride from the bank was so sick
I remember Donny from the Eatontown roller rink. Skate night. Awesome.
I primarily skate skateparks but I’d go skate street w Donny any day!! Bring him around more!!

Yo! Yea they skatestopped them. There’s graters on the floor near the ledges too. Pretty hard to hit but I’ve seen Asta get a trick through them.
Thanks for responding. I recognized the legdes from a Jimmy Chung clip.. Graters on the floor seems deadly to a spot. Glad you and Mr.Asta skate there nonetheless. :) Shoutout from eu!
Street Wallrides at 50! Gives me hope for my future!
Mindset on Point. ✌🏻
I love pulling oldstyle tricks at the skatepark
Great review mate 👍
"I hate that, you get hemorrhoids from that" 😂
Scare walk the love gap was gnarly
Mall grabs look phenomenal in skate parks but wack on the streets though.
Donny's a legend. Don't be a park practice boy hit the streets foo!
is this the dude that did the sickest airwalk at the love park fountain?
Hell yea it is, he did the scarewalk (front foot kicked to kickflip side)
Put him in a future video dude.he’s missing out

Some people flow, some pop. SF/
Haha yes. I agree with the opening statement. Skate parks are mids.
Bruh, leave the plant alone.
skatepark is better,no used rubbers and syringes in my way...
Furthermore, you want to skate with less skaters cause most of them are whack.
Damn dude, you didnt want to back up donnie with a fronside wallride?! Ten times better than a boneless to flat. Frontside wallride is easy.
