The osrs playerbase when firemaking and cooking are used as they were originally intended in 2001 (To chop trees and burn to cook food when far from a bank): It's broken

In theory it should be like the fish barrel, but I don't like that you can't take fish out of the barrel either, so I hope they keep it. As others are saying, it feels very Old School having to make a fire and cook on the go, and gives a potential use to Barbarian Firemaking using a bow to light fires.
I hope they keep it and don’t nerf the pouch because it does come with some negatives in that you need to bring a tinder box and logs. Depending on the logs you use too, the timer to cook might be really short. I think too it would be easier for Jagex to keep as is and if Jagex doesn’t want the pouch used in certain places, they just restrict the area to not allow fires.
I doubt they will change it, this happened in rs3 before and they patched it there, but in osrs we have the fish barrel wich does only work at a bank, they knew about it and still released the meatpouch like this and with the quality of the rest of the update i dont think its an oversight.
if they decide to leave it in I think they should also allow us to use the fish barrel in the same way but then if you could have both of them and bring 48 pieces of extra food with you that miiiight be too much, even with having to either bring the supplies or find somewhere to cook them. for comparison RS3's highest lvl beast of burden can only hold 32 items, interesting trade off though you just had to click an item to move it from ur summon to ur inventory whereas with this you have to bring the resources to light a fire, remove the raw food from whatever vessel and then take the time to cook each piece.
I play a UIM that is still too low level for bossing. I am so sad that this is a thing before I can make use of it. Jagex will undoubtedly nerf this in the near future.
