- "It truly is a miracle that everybody made it through the devastation that destroyed that gas station, that they made it out alive," Gov. Abbott said.
They were very lucky being able to shelter in a strong building. Those tornadoes are damn scary.

"In our interconnected world, the notion of equality must extend to all aspects of life, including access to essential resources like home loans. Discrimination based on race not only perpetuates social injustice but can also have far-reaching consequences, resonating beyond human interactions. When individuals are denied opportunities simply because of their race, it creates a ripple effect that disrupts the delicate balance of our shared environment. The prevalence of natural disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes, cyclones, and the spread of disease may serve as stark reminders of the interconnectedness of all living beings and systems. By fostering inclusivity and fairness in our societies, we not only uphold fundamental human rights but also contribute to a more harmonious coexistence with the world around us. Let us strive for a future where every individual is treated with dignity and respect, where opportunities are accessible to all, and where the fabric of our society is woven from threads of equality and compassion."

There is nothing miraculous about Commercial Building Codes.
It is an utter miracle no one died there despite the building & roof giving out and people getting hit with flying metal
Yes, the whole "it's a miracle" is just the most bizarre go-to. It obviously infers the ones who didn't find shelter didn't deserve a miracle. Those who weren't "blessed" just had it coming. These are the ones who claim to have the most "moral clarity."
@@Cre80s Oh, yes.. the "blessed" club.
Exactly! Right down the road from there people died from the same tornado. But it’s a blessing from geezuhs 😒🖕🏽
@@Cre80sUhhh, you are thinking too much into it. It's just a saying, boy.
My mom and aunts live literally 5 minutes from there and I’ve been to this gas station many times. Very eerie to see it like this but I’m happy everyone inside was okay.
the restrooms of that Shell restrooms were even strong enough to withstand that 1 tornado
that Shell gas station needs to get renovated given how it sustained a powerful tornado
I swear heard this tornado from five miles away. I had close friends pulled over on the side of the road that night. I’m glad to hear that there have been no fatalities. Angels were definitely watching over this area during the storm. Others inside the town weren’t so lucky, as there were non functioning sirens in that town on this night. These storms have brought devastating times to Oklahoma & Texas recently, but these two states come together like peanut butter a jelly when in need. That much is clear. Prayers to ALL.
It was infuriating watching how long this deadly storm was not properly warned. The twister was obviously on the ground and producing a debri signature for close to 20 minutes before the warning was finally upgraded. I storm chase in Texas sometimes and its bizarre how often I see this sort of thing happen there. I have seen tornados touch down and do damage in storms with no warnings what-so-ever on multiple occasions.
People of Texas, although the NWS offices of every state make occasional mistakes, the pattern of incompetence I see here is not the norm. You should demand those responsible are replaced and this is corrected. This is the sort of thing that gets people killed.
Texas notoriously defunds government agencies and wants to privatize everything. Your beef is with the wrong people.
I wish, the people who actually vote here are to focused on “muh guhns” to take action on anything that would actually help the people of our state.

Absolutely amazing
Way to go Hugo!
Hugo is a Hero. Prayers for all.
Thank you Jesus!
well a lesson learnt - why not make the places stronger - maybe a shelter on each site?? think about it....and if the petrol companies complain - make it a it a law.....
Why would the petrol companies complain? Puh leese! You make zero sense.
@@Sabbathissaturday dont go on the attack big fella - its a idea - Im meaning = the costs to make these places some what shelter proof
You're talking REGULATION, and Texans HATE regulation. They want to be free to die in a storm!
Always some weisenheimer with comments section idealism that has to suggest we 'mandate' everything, but never thinks the idea through, particularly the part where you'd have to build something that has a better than 99% chance that it will never be used.
I sleep outside in TN so this is somewhat scary
I saw one of the chasers call Ryan Hall and warn everyone that the Tornado was headed right for the gas station...
God is good
Do not be afraid be prepared aint that one if his sayings?
one of the good stories in this disaster. no way you would have want to been outside.
What these people need is cameras up in the face and drones to spy on you in a situation like this because that always helps
I tried to give safety suggestions but was told by an american, "dont bother, they are poor people". Wow what a country.
Somebody needs to buy Hugo a beer!
Supposedly ‘only’ 60-80
Thank you Lord. Amen

American builds are equivalent to matchbox houses….
And during the 99.999% of the time there isn't a tornado bearing down on the structure, that works.
A car can outrun a tornado
A car has to follow the road and watch out for other cars, not to mention the non-tornado hazards of the storm.
The tornado has no such restrictions.
May God bless and keep this man for looking after people ❤
Who was coming back from a librul state from getting their abortion is the big question? Texans are rough rugged individuals who can't keep the power on under 30 or over 100.
Thank you 🙏 Lord God!!
This is why we should have built only Tower cities connected to maglev Trains.
+++++
The TCU parking garage is made from steel tube and expanded metal. I don't think any tornado could damage it. If it included an expanded metal roof I doubt anything inside would be damaged. The construction cost is reasonable.

What is Greg "Hot Wheels" Abbott doing to help?
What is CONFIRMED PEDOPHILE BY HIS OWN DAUGHTER Joe Biden and FEMA doing to help the citizens in the disaster area??? The same thing they did for East Palestine. NOTHING! 🤡🌎
Probably begging for federal help again.
My family lived off this road for generations and generations. I'm one of the last of my family to live on our old home place. I'm anything but a fan of Gov. Abbott, and I'm aware of his outspoken criticism of the federal government. That's on my list of things I despise about him.
I'm giving him some slack about this disaster. There are families who lost loved ones and their homes and much of what they owned was destroyed.
I trust the federal government to step up and help the people who need the help the most.
If Gov. Abbott begs, pleads, and showboats right now, that's fine with me. The people in need are graced with help regardless from where it comes.
Banning books and stripping away women's rights. That's the answer. Maybe he and Trump can have another photo op and pass out a single roll of paper towels and a single bottle of water to each family.
He’s reporting back to his handlers the WEF that Texans are too strong and that we have Gods protection so they need to amp up the weather manipulation and let more ilegals in.
Wonderful and amazing, but who cares about that?...it went VIRAL on the intertubes! Not that's what's truly important!

The end of the good ole days for America
WTF are you saying? This is normal…
This is normal for tornado alley…. Even more so for the more rural areas like this….
If you're that much of a pessimist, you're always welcome to leave.
That is god justice
Where two or more are gathered....there were two people who know God that prayed in there. That's why you're all alive. If you didn't know that, you're not saved. Jesus Christ is Lord.
oh so your god will only save children if someone prays? What about all the people killed by tornados despite praying?
Children were killed yesterday but I guess that is their fault somehow. No wonder people can't stand Christians.
It is the tear of Palestinians people not tornado. You just it is tornado

I'll bet you next year Mr President Trump is in office all this freaking weather will not be happening yes Joey can
Cool story.
What's going to happen when these types of storms escalate and the frequency and intensity cross whatever line that is to make fixing all this MOOT? With all these places being wrecked across the planet the last 2-3 weeks is there even enough raw materials to rebuild? Will insurance just keep paying and paying and paying? What does the local economy do in the interim?
These things are fixable when a town gets blown off the map once every 3, 5, 10 years but take look at the destruction of the last WEEK.
Dominoes and tipping points folks.
Maybe you should just go make friends with a hungry grizzly bear so you don't have to worry about that stuff.
