HAIR COLOUR:
I dye my own hair at home using L'oreal casting creme gloss 360 (black cherry). Please bear in mind that this is a semi permanent dye and I don't use it regularly, when freshly applied it is BLACK!! If my hair is lighter it is extremely faded and i'm probably due a colour so what you're then seeing is mainly my natural hair colour which is a reddish medium brown.
SKIN TYPE/COLOUR
I'm 36 and my skin is normal with a slightly oily t zone and early signs of aging like fine lines as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I DO NOT use fake tan, I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have olive skin. My face is often a LOT lighter than my body because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!
My Necklace:
I get sooooo many questions about it, I'm so sorry it's not a happy answer! Its actually 2 necklaces together, and both were gifts so I don't have much detail, here is everything my hubby can remember! The larger disc and the chain were from Azendi, it has a picture of the moon and reads "The same moon around the world" (which is something that meant a lot to us when we first met and he was travelling with work A LOT). The smaller discs were from www.notonthehighstreet.com and they have my daughter's fingerprints and name and date of birth and they were a present when she was born. They don't seem to be available anymore I'm sorry!!

Isn't it just lovely?!? I cannot believe how smooth and hydrating it is on my severely dry skin. I found the Fenty very cakey on me, personally, but this one (maybe because of how thin it is) made me look like I had just applied a beautiful moisturizer. So in love!

Wow I think this still looks flawless! In order to even see the lines you said were in your forehead you had to zoom in closer than any person would see, and even then they are super faint. You are my go to for all things makeup. Even if I’ve heard other influencers test it, I always wait for your video before I decide to buy or not. You haven’t steered my wrong! ❤️

I live in very south Florida. Summer all year, except with a couple of spring days per year, that they call a cold front. I LOVE this Foundation! I got a nice size sample, and will buy a full bottle. It’s amazing. I wear Tawny as well. Perfect color for me too, which is hard to find. And, really appreciate the spf! Looks lovely on you.

I'm so glad we finally have this foundation! And I'm glad it seems to be living up to the hype I had built up. My husband was bored of me talking about this foundation and listening to videos on it before it came out here 😂 been wearing it non stop, it's just gorgeous on the skin and seems to wear well on me too. I would agree with you on the forehead though, only area it's slightly noticeable on me!

I've used the foundation with and without setting powders and my skin looked very good. I also used a pump of the ELDW and that was my absolute favorite and best look for my skin. Give it a try....

This is Lisa Smithey....I LOOOOOVE THIS foundation! It is the best that I have tried in years. I do like light and glowy foundations.
I do find that I have to use 2 pumps ! I am in my 50's and I am thrilled. My other faves are MAC face and body and Charlotte Tilbury (light and glowy one 😣) and Ilia foundation.
My shade is the same as my other Estee Lauder foundation. Perfect!I

I am 58 with oily skin. I was pleasantly surprised with this on my "mature" skin. Powder is a necessity for me, not an option :) It set very well with powder and is very natural looking. Touches up nicely with powder too at end of day. Not full coverage on me but I don't look for that most days. I have mixed it with heavier or more matte foundations with success. I like it a lot but not Holy Grail for me.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m 50 with an oily T-zone and battle to find the perfect foundation (the hunt for the perfect shade is another chapter all on its own!). I can’t wear the Double Wear and the Nude version is too light coverage. So I’m hoping that this one works for me. ❤️🌹
I got this the day it came out and I love it. I’ve been out in it in the evening with flash and didn’t see any flash back tbh. I’m finding it slightly more glows than I sometimes want to be so on the the days I want sonething a bit more Matt and more coverage I mix this with double wear and it perfect, I feel like between the 2 I can really customise my finish and coverage 👍
It may not have been dark enough or the flash bright enough, but it definitely isnt flash safe from my testing!! X

I may try to get a sample before committing to a full size bc although I like the coverage, hydration and spf my T zone gets easily oily and maybe this one is too dewy for me 🤷🏻♀️

Excellent review and this looks really pretty on you. I've really been enjoying this one. I did find it went on better and looked better when using a sponge. I also don't set this down. Occasionally I may set my jaw area. For reference, I have very mature dry sensitive skin.

Hi Charlotte this foundation looks stunning on you! It's actually not bad on your forehead although I see some settling not bad at all. Looking forward to trying this after my no buy.I'm not concerned about flashback because I don't like photos of myself with a flash(or any photo with a flash) I prefer the daylight😉
It's not terrible, but compared to others its definitely exaggerating lines on me x
I love the glowiness of this foundation, gives a nice healthy appearance. SPF 45 is too high for my taste for I live in The Netherlands and sunshine is good for vitamin D 🌞
I need to pick up a sample of this. I've been really loving my Chanel Water Fresh Tint. Oh speaking of which, my Chanel guy told me they are coming out with 3 new shades of Soleil tan de Chanel! Yes, a lighter shade and 2 darker shades! Need the darker shades for summer!

Great review Charlotte - re the forehead (which I sympathise with, my eyebrow raising antics have given me full on tram lines 😂) I think the solution is use it everywhere else and ABH that bit 🙂 It looks really good on you.

This looks amazing on you. To me the sponge side applied better than the brush side, and it looked more smooth than the brush side, but that's my opinion.

You somehow always have me convinced over a product that I'm on a fence to buy or not to. However, I'm a lil confused with the shade here, if you could pls help... when you're self tanned your shade you've mentioned as NC40-42, & here you're 3W1 (Tawny); are you self tanned here in this video, just for my shade reference.

I have to pick this up! My It Cosmetics CC cream is great but oxidizes on me too much
I was so excited when this came out, I use to be an avid double wear wearer but as I’ve aged that’s just not an option for me. Every review I’ve seen this foundation looks so dewy and wonderful. I’ve been trying to make it work for about 2 weeks now and my skin feels so dried out. I’ve tried with primer, without primer, even with a nighttime moisturizer and after a couple of hours my skin is so dried out I just want to go wash it all off. It also never looks dewy on my skin, I’m so bummed. My search continues for that “perfect” foundation.
Have you tried a facial oil (I just use organic Jojoba oil) or a moisturizing spray? I found when I didn't use the oil, my skin looked a little more dry by hour 5 or 6, but using it (and giving it a little time to sink in before applying the foundation) made a WORLD of difference. I have almost abnormally dry skin, lol, so I kind of just expect it. But it really looks so dewy and beautiful and smooth, and it didn't effect the wear-time at all. If you haven't returned it- maybe give that I try if you haven't already. Hope it helps you 😊

I did two reviews of this foundation on my channel 😂. My final verdict is that it is a really superior foundation to most that I have used ( and there are tons). I use a pore filling primer over deep lines! Mona

Its TOTALLY different, they are polar opposites, so if you want something like double wear this isnt that! I dont like double wear, its much too matte and flat on my normal skin so this is my preference x

I returned it to John Lewis today, it broke me out! Also a bit cakey around my chin in particular. Thought would be perfect as I am dry/dehydrated. Just shows even the perfect sounding product can still not be right for an individual. Bought my classic Armani luminous silk instead.

Mary Dunn It wasn’t used, I had bought it because I was impatient and hoped it would be right but was actually still using the tester. However the lady at Estée Lauder said they have a no quibble returns policy anyway so even if I had used it, they will do returns!

I wish it had a bit more coverage. I still prefer Lancôme skin feels good since they are similar. Lancôme doesn’t use as much product to build up to medium.

Without being a pain in the arse what was the colour code of the shade you got? I bought 4N1 and the shade is literally grey 😩 have to use my drunk elephant bronzi thing to make it wearable but then I thought it looked very pretty Need a new shade

It looks great, Charlotte. If my skin would clear up, I'm tempted to try it (the SPF added into it)could potentially be a deal breaker. Estēe Lauder reformulated my HG Doublewear light- yes, I'm still bitter about that. Thank-you for the review and wear test. ❤

I actually hated that one 😂😂 so its not at all similar imo...this one has more coverage, is smoother, more luminous and wears a lot better x

Why do new release foundations have to have a description the length of the Magna Carta. I'm asleep after😴the first syllable...slight exaggeration but you get my drift 😀.
