Is this good for Pest Control??
Great review, as always. It's just not my cup of tea. $12 for 40 shots? Plastic receiver, so probably can't work on it. And it didn't seem to be regulating that well. For $200 bucks, if you want to go pcp, I'd get a Crosman 3622 or Beeman qb variation and $40 hand pump. Unlimited air, no more out of pocket expenses, don't have to worry about supply chain issues on the new N2 cylinders, and could always add a regulator down the road for a price. But honestly, i own a few unregulated pcps with small air cylinders, and the accuracy doesn't really suffer.
Oh yeah, or a Fortitude.
The Umarex Iconix is the PCP rifle from Umarex that is gonna be a game changer. It's gonna be 200 Euros/Pounds/Dollars or less.
@@AirgunChannel I own all 3! 😁
$22 plus shipping for two Nitro cartridges. A descent compressor could be paid for in short order. I don't know about you guys, but a shooting session is a tin of 200 or two. I can't see the value in it but I'm sure there is someone out there this is perfect for. I like the idea though. Good review as always Nate. The purchase of every gun I own was influenced by your content and they are all tack drivers.
Thanks man! There are some great guns out there! -Nate
It’s not really made for sitting and plinking lol it for small game hunting. I have had 3 compressors $300 each one last 3months second last 5months and last one lasted 5months. My hand pump from ebay lasted 4 1/2 years lol.. if they can make a refillable cylinders you can hand pump to 300psi or to the 3600psi it’s a game changer
Excellent review of the snow rifle first saw the ad in Guns and Ammo. Thank you so much.
Wow, they spend alot on advertising!
Without a doubt innovative. Diehard tuners will undoubtedly attach an air cylinder to it later, only to realize afterwards that with the total cost they could have bought an equivalent rifle that has already earned its stripes.
so true!
@@AirgunChannel If a "diehard" puts an air cylinder on it, they may not be a diehard any longer. Just sayin'. LOL. 🤔
@@UmarexAirnah we just don’t want to pay for your expensive cartridges
Hey Nate nice review as always. Not something I would want. But given you the algorithm. Keep up your videos.
Thanks Moses. Keep that algorithm happy! -Nate
Most of the air that we breathe is Nitrogen and not Oxygen as most people believe. It's pretty much an inert gas.
yummy
78% nitrogen. 20.9 oxygen. 0.9 argon and about .03 carbon dioxide.
9:58 You just set yourself up for a perfect Texas Heart Shot! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sneaky rats!
Imagine when they get this tech in something like the velox pistol!
Great idea!
This will cost the buyer way more cash in the end than a PCP with just air. Cylinders are gonna have to be cheap as dirt seriously to make this economical. Still…gotta admit I wished I would have thought of it. They are gonna make some cash. This gun doesn’t look like something Nova Vista would do but more like Walther. Kinda smells like rain.🤷🏼♂️😂💯
Yeah, they will make money on it for sure, Sinced only UX sells the Nitro! Stupid idea or brilliant? You decide.
Hey, thank you, heathhalfhill6867. Prob not the solution for those who shoot a lot but is a good one for those who don't have $ to buy a compressor or external tank without using credit or debt. Great perspective.
That's definitely a pretty cool idea. Excellent review as always!
Thanks man! Have a great week! -Nate
8:51 Hahaha [Your comment] 🤣
I think they must have dredged that up outa' the La Brea Tar Pits!
That is one dirty boy!
Hi Nate. Thanks for the first look at the Umarex nitro powered rifle. Not for me but great to see you having fun with it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend brother.😊
Thanks man! Happy shooting! -Nate
Always wondered if N2 was viable for PCP, thanks😊😊😊😊😊
It is now!
Nice to see a 177 rifle,,,,checked out the price, you gotta be kidding me,,under 200, im in the wrong country Nate, i have the FX impact in 177 but can only run it under 12 ft lbs😒
Nice reveiw buddy.
12 foot pound limit. Wow! I would just get an FAC. Is that how it works?
Thats the problem Nate its way to hard to get FAC if you have any previous convictiond even after 45 years,,so i gotta stay with the 12 ftbls but really enjoy your videos feller, keep em coming.
goes to show those 88 gram co2s are overkill for co2 and capable of much higher pressure.what will be interesting is how much the nitro carts cost.
Good question, Probably $10 each
Great observation. #Respect. The top of the cartridge had to be figured out and the filling process was not cheap to implement.
Great 1st look at this airgun. What scope were you using?
That is my Element Helix ruclips.net/video/7Qr5JgiW5lg/видео.html
Hey umarex it's a plastic airgun ,it's not a cure for cancer. I don't know why such a secret😅
Nitro bro!
theyre the first to offer precharged pcp tanks in this format. thats for sure ,, I cannot imagine the DOT hurdles
@@AirgunChannelbigger molecules than straight air.
Weather is still a factor.
@@LHB33 how?
RIP NateDawg, we're really going to mis... Oh wait!, It's After May 14th! My bad! 🤣
I've never been a fan of aerosol-paint, C02 powered guns, etc. but over the past few years, I broke down..
I ended up with 2 cylinder powered 50 cal pistols and a twin-cylinder powered select-dire bb AR15..
With THAT said, Damnit! These are looking Nice Enough to consider!!
BTW, years ago on a few of the forums, we talked about running different 'gasses' in the guns: pros / cons
Obviously air, CO2, and Nitrogen are the go-go fill options.. buuut..
Some of us - like me - are welders, so, we have access to different compressed gasses..
I just transferred 2 tanks to my new place: 1 is 100% Argon and the other is a 75/25
which is a mix ratio of 75% Argon : 25% CO2. I've always been willing to bet that they'd work very well!
[This is my way of saying but not saying that I'm probably going to try - and find out] 😁👍
In the meantime, I'll be trying to figure out something fun to say for my 'famous last words'. lol
I got some Argon for my Airgun! I like the idea! -Nate
@@AirgunChannel Right on! If anything, using this stuff 'should' cut down on
the amount of condensation/liquids that can enter during regular filling [just due to compressor air temps]
What we Should do is get some Helium, I heard that'll make the guns a lot lighter! 🤣👍
Please just be careful bro. Nothing that is combustible or in other words…DIESEL 💥💥💥
Umarex on FB just blocked me because I told them the truth about the cost of shooting the Komplete and the lack of support from the airgun community for this, IMO, mistake. It reminds me of the Daisy caseless ammo disaster in the 1970s. Umarex, you can block me, but that doesn't change the reality of the excessive cost of shooting your black plastic gun. A .22 LR rimfire would be better in every way
How funny! The Komplete is a "unique" idea. Makes me wonder what's next?
@@AirgunChannel Phasers! Lol!
I wonder if one could refill it hy adding a little bit of liquid nitrogen... (if they already have it for other uses of course, buying a dewar just for those seems overkill)
It falls apart when you pick it up?
Affirmative, just don't grab it by the foreend
@@AirgunChannel Thank you for including that, and again, and again 🤣 Maybe they can release a 2.0 that actually LATCHES to prevent inadvertant disassembly!
Can you run this gun off of CO2?
Good question. Try it!
This breaks the very essence of what an airgun means: cheap shots. Jesus 😂😂😂
Excelente 👏👌👍🧉🇦🇷 saludos 👍
Thank you sir! -Nate
I definitely like innovation and new ideas and a great review as always! But, there’s always a but 🤣 it’s like 30c a shot if you are buying decent pellets. I’m not against it at all but after investing in a cs-4 and everything it’s just not for me.
doesn't anyone like this gun!
@@AirgunChannel 🤣 I like the idea and they way it looks. It’s definitely better than a co2 and if you don’t have all the hpa gear it is definitely a step up. For those of us that shoot hundreds of pellets/slugs a week it’s not ideal but it has a place
@@Thegoofyairgunner you're 100% on. We didn't make this for those of you who already have the set up. We get that. We did want you to know about it though because we venture to guess you have family and friends who would like to have a PCP experience without the up front investments... at least to start off with. Gave you a sub. =D
@@UmarexAir that’s awesome!!! Thank you for the sub and reply. I definitely see it being a gateway platform and I understand what you mean about that. It could be the air rifle you give to someone on the fence. I’ll admit my first few thousand shots from the Vulcan using the cs-4 compressor probably cost about $6 bucks each to be fair to Umerex and the komplete
Someone please tell me why a side lever is better than standard bolt? It looks so sideways and slow. Thanks.
Bolts are harder to cock.
@@AirgunChannel even w/ the stock on our shoulder? [I'm not trying to argue, I have ocd. Sorry if I look troll like.] Is it just better for the bench?
Bolts have no pivot point. No mechanical advantage, no lever. You feel 100% of the hammer spring with a bolt. I just an engineer, might not want to trust my college physics.
@@JoshuaBilger You don't need to be sarcastic, professor. I get all that but just think the bolt is more ergonomic. Less sideways. - The bolt action was designed to be applied while shouldered to make it smooth, straight and easy while staying on target.
Ya I got a bullpup really don’t like the lever can’t reload while holding it to aim unlike a bolt action
Any chance of a refillable bottle so you could use a mother bottle from a welding company or something like that?
No chance bro
so, turn it into a traditional pcp? why not just get a traditional pcp?
The cartridges are $23.00 for two. $11.50 for 50 shots. A little high.
not for Bill Gates
@@AirgunChannel Indeed! I know a lot of clinicians who drive Tesla's and would LOVE this design. The $$/shot is worth it to them over the high initial investment and the time of a pump or compressor and the labor associated with the first and the noise of the second. They'll buy a case of these cartridges and enjoy every minute they get to spend plinking.
Honestly, it makes sense and is a great innovation over the CO2 people have been spending $$ on for decades...
I don't think this one is going to stick. It all depends on the price of the nitro cylinder.
They are 11.50
Yea it'd cost you over $111 to shoot through 500 pellet tin of 22 cal , 11 canisters 45 shots each. By the time you shoot 1500 pellets or 3 tins you could have afforded a cheap Chinese air compressor for right at 200 to 300.
I see.
My Komplete in .22 with a high quality scope is the only PCP I take on my week end expeditions.
No compressor, no huge tanks or exhausting hand pumping.
One pellet one dinner.
I have been air gunning since 1958 and the Komplete is the future of special time airguns.
Are those the same threads as the CO2
Not sure.
Yes they are; however, the top of the cartridge has been re-engineered. The piercing surface is inset. The piercing mechanism on the gun also requires the engagement of more threads when installing it. Great question.
@@UmarexAir interesting, if my son gets his PAL this set up will probably be his then. Canada's laws are 🦇💩😜
Cool
It was alot of fun!
so your saying you can use this airgun in the cold
Yes, in the snow.
@@AirgunChannel nice can i ask why
There will be some pressure flex from hot to cold but nitrogen being a dry, stable gas doesn’t lock up a valve like CO2 would. The pressure variant shouldn’t be as extreme.
@@UmarexAir wow ok i will keep this air gun i mind because i know some co2 guns are not made for that but this one i see ill use even in warm and cold conditions
Can it be stored with the nitro tank punctured?
That’s a great question bud. CO2s don’t hold air but in the nitro’s defense the nitrogen molecules are larger and less likely to leak than conventional air….just sayin. I don’t want one when I make my own HPA.🤷🏼♂️
Yes, no problem.
I kinda want it
It is pretty fun.
What would be the fps without the nitrogen?
with a Co2? good question.
@@AirgunChannel yes sir I just wanted to know before ordering mines 🙂
The approximate max a .177 cal CO2 rifle will shoot with a 7 grain pellet is around 650 fps in ideal temperatures and that's just the first 3 shots then it's less. .22 even less which is why we don't do .22s in CO2.
@@UmarexAir wow I think I would infact choose nitrogen as a better alternative 😀
Love the idea but i couldn't afford to shoot it
Thanks for the comment! -Nate
❤
Thanks for the comment! -Nate
Why?
Because you can!
Thanks for asking why. There are people who don't or can't spend $200+ on a PCP rifle in addition to $ on a scope, and then $250+ on a compressor that's a pain to keep cool without them using credit (debt). The Komplete NCR provides a convenient way for people to experience PCP given the average person doesn't sit and shoot a full tin of pellets each weekend. Lots of break barrel owners who don't want to break a barrel but do want multi-shot capability in a quiet platform. Some people live in a suburb and can employ such a device for the ocassional garden pest but have zero interest in buying a carbon fiber tank, HPA compressor, and don't want the hassle of a hand pump. Just a few reasons. Not everyone's tin of pellets.
Hard pass on the gun but as always you made a good video with it👍🏼
Thank you! -Nate
The flat ones are for punching a cleaner hole in paper brother
Oh! Not to fly different. Good to know.
@@AirgunChannel Yep. They are called wad cutters
Yeah if can't hit anything with a 500.00 Element scope , then you're in trouble. Needs a PCP conversion adapter . Otherwise like the preverbal paper weight . No thanks .
I'm sorry you feel that way.
@@AirgunChannel No problem everyone has their opinions . I think a multi-pump or break barrel is more Komplete . Just my thing . No middle man . Hell yeah!!!

You know we're in the United States of America. We don't shoot 177 calibers here. When you could meet you 22 25 30 caliber. Why would anybody wanna review a 177 caliber rifle
It's not his fault, it's what he received. You have a valid point. There are .177s still sold though due to brick and mortar retail. The tide is changing for sure but there's still market demand.
Im dutch europe youtube iscnot only for amerika why so negativ i bet you wear a smal had en have big hooke nose
More expensive per shot than a powder burner, nitro is not cheap or readily available, so there's the hassle of ordering on line and shipping costs, and always having some on hand, how much can you invest to have a stock of nitro bottles on hand or no shooting for 3 or 4 days while you wait for the nitro to arrive? I don't see where this fits into the scheme of things, not sure you want a PCP? Then buy a cheap C02, works and feels the same, just doesn't have the power. Like the pneumatic experience? than buy the PCP with the money you saved by not investing in Nitro. Me? I like springers, no gas, no pumps, just pellets to make it go but if I did go the PCP route, even as a starter, I'd give the nitro a miss.

this gun is a gimmik just get real pcp or gun that uses 88g co2, those n2 canisters get really expensive fast and they wont sell them in my country
In UK?
Respect your opinion but disagree on whether or not it is a "real" PCP or not. Has a regulator at 1800 psi. Cartridge is 3600 psi... it is pre-charged and the gun operates using gas so it is pneumatic. Sorry if they don't make it to your country. Don't know the gas regulations where you are so may not be possible do to over-legislation. Thanks for supporting AirgunChannel.
