The Blackbox PS2 version have better content in overall, but the EA Seattle PC, Xbox and Gamecube versions featured the playable Diablo VT cop car which can't be playable on the PS2 version.
@@Blue_Y2K6167 screw the cop car, PS2 is a completely different game made by people who knew their job. Superior physics, superior tracks with more alternative paths, a lot better pursuits, the sound was masterfully done (instrumental versions of tracks were used so you could hear the cop radio better. Their talks are more lively too). Actually, NFS Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2 is one of my favourite games ever in terms of how gameplay is combined with sound, music and visual design. It just pleases all senses at once when you play it, delivering pure adrenaline combined with sense of freedom.
@stam1ska I never writed the Black Box version is not the best version, i mentioned a major difference from the Seattle version. The PC version are the most accessible and easy to play since doesn't need a expensive hardware to play, unlike the Ps2 version which are stuck to the heavy PCSX2 emulator.
@@Blue_Y2K6167 the bad thing about PC version is that it's not worth playing. This was one of my first NFS games tbh, and I was really surprised when I tried PS2 version after many years. Completely different experience.
I also prefered the computer version. That was the first version i think. The best racing game i ever played. Best experience. Using any car was unique. Sensations were top. The progression was top too
That is the PS2 version working on a computer via emulation. Its a test, but the native PC port doesn't feature the high quality content from the PS2 version.
This is more immersive than most racing crap being released nowadays!
NFS Hot Pursuit 2: PS2 version >>>>>>>>> All other versions
Whatever version, this game is the best racing game i had. The benchmark. Everything was inch perfect
