I really like you showing the base team then upgrades for each champion. I think a video like this will help a lot more people than just the standard “these 6 champs is the team no other info” type vids I typically see in hydra.
On the 'f2p' front from the start of the video, I still use Arbiter in my Normal team (she could work higher, that's just where she slotted in) alongside Visix, and Uugo. She is really good for the speed aspect of just getting your turns in faster, with 2 speed boosts (obviously have to be careful if you are earlier game with a squishier team, not to burn her A4 revive at the wrong time, but in my team it's rare anyone dies) as well as Increase Atk and Weaken. With a main single target damage dealer even her non-100% single target Weaken can still be very effective. I like Mordecai for early game Hydra too. One of the biggest issues a newer Hydra player will have straight away is Decay cleanse, straight into poison cloud into no damage for you and your team gets killed while you're twiddling your thumbs waiting for the poison clouds to wear off. So Mordecai being able to place the HP burn to let you ignore that can be crucial in getting that initial 1 key Normal. He's has also been available as one of the promo code champs for starting I think, though probably one people chose less. The rest of my Normal team is somewhat less accessible, though, these days! Varl is cool but he is 4 legos deep in hard hydra Im fairly late game and I dont even have thea yet hard secret rooms are rough on resources. Who would you replace him with?
I would not have put Varl in the Free to play team as (based on my own experience), I would expect most player to 1-key Brutal Hydra for months before they get Varl. In my case, I 1-key brutal hydra for more than 6 months and I haven’t reached the point where I can start collecting Varl fragments (I just started collecting Gomlok ones). Regarding free to play HP burner options, I would definitively go for Drexthar. I use him in my hard hydra team, his passive can place HP burn trough poison cloud (which can save so many runs) and he can serve as a backup provoker. To my point of view, he is totally underrated by many players for hydra.
@@MtgJedi My current Hard hydra Team is composed of Mithrala, Drexthar, Gnut, Uugo, Rector Drath and Strategos Islin. In comparison my Brutal one is Duchess Lilitu, Sun Wukong, Rathalos, Artak, Lady Mikage and Nergigante Archer.
Varl is a bit of a stretch. It depends on your DT NM progress. And he is nr 4 on the list. Until I can get past Scarab King at lv50 progress will continue to be slow on Varl.
Haven't they done a guaranteed for her? At least a progressive chance, so you should go for her when that's available. I know the pain of having certain epics that just won't show up, so it's worth the extra shards when the events pop up. I had to get the guaranteed lady quilen during a heros path for the mikage fusion. I've pulled tons of uugo and other champs, yet I still haven't pulled a vogoth lol
It's difficult to really define f2p unless you only include champs that every player has. I'm a mid game f2p player and I have finally built a decent hard hydra team that can hit about 100 mill. That's Mithrala, Siphi, Eostrid, Michinaki, Rathelos, and monkey. The Siphi and Michinaki were lucky shard pulls. So far Siphi is the only void loggo that I've pulled. So I thank the rng gods that I can build this team. Btw: Eostrid was my first fusion. I also have Shy'ek, but not built. I'm thinking of building a Shy'ek + Duedan taunt loop duo. Both taunt skills are on a 3 turn cool down and together there's 3 turns of taunt. So running them both at the same speed can have taunt up permanently. Anyway, that's the plan.
Might want to update this, without that God gear you have you aren't doing 1 mil per turn. I have some pretty good gear and burners, buff removers, block buffers, remove debuggers and since the AI changed I can't one key normal
that is great indead, but there are some limitations to this... You probably have your great hall full and also the bonus hall. Then I see that most of your champ are awoken and of course there is the equipment that most certainly is high class for you. So even if we come with those champ in hydra most of p2p guys like me will get their ass kicked because of those 'small details' ;)
so basically what you are saying here is that if you are F2P you are going to be playing for about a year before you can even attempt hydra. And they wonder why new players leave & they have very low player retention of new players. In order to get hoalf of these chars you have to have a team capable of beating teams that would have better chars in than this to start with.
No I don’t think that at all. You can start getting chests in hydra after a month or two. But to start one keying hard, yeah you’ll have to work up to that
Deliana can be used in place of Uugo. She was a 7-day login champion with AOE Block Buffs. She doesn't have a heal, but does have Leech.
Don't have Varl lol. currently working on Urost, what can i use instead?

Awesome! I hope others do too. I wouldn’t mind doing more videos like this when I can find the teams too.

Mordecai for early game is a great idea I think. I’m going to have to come up with a team based on that.

Really he can be any dps you have but he’s nice because he has weaken also.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I’d love to see that hard hydra team with drex too.

Varl is in pretty early midgame build. Pretty sure any 1 year account can pull similar build without much trouble

I only have 3 of those bean playing almost a year’s 😢
Uugo is not f2p!! Almost 3 yrs playing and NO UUGO!!! 😢 😂
Just use Lydia and Wukong instead of Uugo and Ghrush :)
I had this problem with geomancer 😂

I feel you. No Uugo for me either.

Wow midnight release...let's go!!!
lol complete accident. Glad you liked!
10:37 - the only provoking champ is Nekmo ... poor Mauli has her provoke turned off? Rude! :P Edit: Ok, found her at 11:00 ;-)
lol. I love you left the first part
It’s A-Fid-us (aphid) like the bug lol
Excellent. I have Ghrush from this team and hate him.
Ticks all the boxes: F2P-friendly, auto-friendly, substitutions suggested. Very nice.
Awesome! It was hard to pull off lol
Well done!
Appreciate you
Aphidus does smack

Meme of the channel, my great hall is definitely not finished lol
Helpfull on who I can sub people in to progress.
Awesome! I will need to find more teams I can showcase like this!
damn im still so far from attempting to go hydra
I think most players can be getting the minimum chest within a couple months of starting to play the game. Start small and work from there.
@@MtgJedi maybe ill try since i got a skullcrown from the void shards
Uugo is free to play? Intersteing.
She’s the most common block buffs champ. Is there someone else I could use?
