Man, after this video I wish you'd make a Hydra basics video explaining the mechanics & rotations. And maybe a cheeky follow up video on how to deal with those mechanics & rotations. Great content man, been loving your videos as a new player who's trying to absorb the game, keep 'em coming! Edit: As a new player who paid money to obtain specifically Trunda because of how cool she looks, I would have severe trust issues if they'd nerf her. Especially with Wixwell/Yannica teams just lurking to take her spot. There will always be "a best champion" for a certain game mode that people want to chase, it might as well just be Trunda. Instead of nerfing her, I'd rather see more options that can contend, be it a new fusion or a buff/rework to existing champions that need love.
The only real problem with trunda teams is the night and day difference between trunda teams and non trunda teams especially with how important the accessories are to an account. As someone who has spent a lot of money since she has come out to get her and to this day her eluding me it kinda just makes me not want to compete in hydra because my key doesn’t come close to comparing.
I can’t believe you didn’t include my man Ruel the hunt master ! He is broken Hex and increase accuracy , 50% turn meter fill . And he has a aoe that places an extra hit under targets with hex That ignores 25 % DEF and it doesn’t count as a aoe so you don’t get the damage mitigation . You even made I vid about this dude and you loved him . Not even a mention 😢
I've shared this before, but I have to share it again because of how crazy it is: On a Thursday I pulled a 6 star Tashiro soul from a MORTAL soul stone, and then two days later I pulled Tashiro himself from a primal shard. Craziest luck I ever had. I use him everywhere. Raid name is WanderingMerc
I have a few of these guys (Michinaki, Supreme Galek, Razelvarg, Ninja, Oboro), and in my experience, Teumesia is my best hydra nuker. She completely dominates, doing nearly 90% of the damage done in the fight no matter what team she's on or what difficulty level I decide to use her. I cannot recommend her enough. Absolutely dominant.
Absolutely : I just made a team with Supreme Galek + Graazur, and this just change my life on the scores (especially good when you don't have Trunda, Cupidus an the others big hit names). One more time, thanks for this useful vidéo, and like you always say : take care Ash ! :)

I love Trunda. She was once best in arena, and I think it's great she's still part of the best hydra team rather than to be put in the vault. I don't have Yumeko or even Kymar, so I can't run the meta hydra teams, but rather run a double trunda teams for a billion or so on hard. I use Supreme Galek on my nightmare team -- he's awesome and brings much more than just damage. I have Quinta's but haven't built him yet. Thanks for the tip.
Hey Ash, for a video idea do you think you can talk about specific roles that are needed for different areas of the game? I feel like that is sometimes where I get confused the most, figuring out what roles are needed for each area of content. Regardless, I love your content! I feel like I’ve learned so much from your channel.😊
I'm a lil late to the party on this vid, but man, I gotta tell ya, if you haven't used him for Hydra, you gotta try Ma'Shalled!! I run him in my NM team, and he churns out the dmg. I hardly see anyone using him, and he's being slept on pretty hard, because that dmg with Mikage, is really nice. Just have to manual it, otherwise he'll keep using the A2 and run out of ATT up.
Ash, you asked some time ago for a series idea. Can I suggest, Doom Tower secret rooms teams, if you got the time and resources? Especially those rare bound ones. Perhaps a sequence according to the rotation (create a playlist for the viewers).
The annoying thing about hydra is if using a phone is trying to target the far right head, I go for it and my champions go for a different one which is frustrating when it eats a champion, anyone else have this problem? Great vid ash 👍
@forgedinfutility , using hex doesn't do enough damage to get your champion out of the far right hydra if it eats one, any other head is easy to do, maybe it's just when using a mobile when I press on that head they just go for another one, thanks anyway 👍

I kinda like Hydra. The max run times need to be lower, and the fear head is obnoxious, other than that, it's okay :) I like trying new and fun teams and then there's the excitement of pulling a new DPS champ for Hydra to hit those higher numbers! xD Thanks for the showcase Ash! I see you finally gave ninja his credit so thank you but you forgot to talk about the most important part of his damage in hydra , which is his A1. it deals decrease defense and hits extremely hard (1-7 million damage on decapitated heads depending on gear level, blessing and team setup) especially when you pair with lady Mikage and other ally attack teams.
I have to just put a weird one in here and that is Genbo. Partly because I have a 6 star awakened with Crushing Rend but he did a good amount of damage in my hydra team. Prolly not a top 20 but I tried him out for fun and he did way better than I expected. People disagree with me but my Gnishak has done some good damage. And maybe Cupidus or Sicia could be up there.
Funny enough when I first started playing this game there was tournament out for one of her skins. I ignorantly thought she was a part of the prize so I got 1st place and got the skin, still don’t have her to this day though lol

There was one you missed legate teox I have him +1 double hitter on debuffed enemy's and a1 is ally attack with highest crit damage. Still a great video though.

@MtgJedi I guess cheat code champs would be a better way to say it. The non damage dealers that make hydra so much easier like Lydia Shamael for fear, Staltus for poisons, Nia, best provokes, hexers, hp burners...maybe the other guy has a good point, I think we've had alot of game changing hydra champs lately that maybe we need a new "hydra 101" video. And a possible 3 part series... beginners, midgame, and endgame focusing on champs each of those accounts would have on them. It seems like hydra has become more popular and I see alot more people asking for help and it seems like a few things get overlooked cuz they're second nature to everyone who has played for a while but people new to hydra have no clue and get wrecked fast thinking they're not strong enough....block buff, Mischief tank or hex and hp burn......the funniest thing is as soon as someone makes an updated hydra video the new hydra changes are gonna drop making it outdated lol
I hate hydra but have to play it since I want the rewards. I use Shemnath a lot with Trunda and whatever best debuffers I have and Godseeker. If I can get everyone’s resist high enough I have Taras that I can run with Krisk and another buffer to get Taras’ damage up.

I was lucky to get 3 mythic Nais mezomel and androc yet am doing very bad in this game, i was lucky to get some other legendary even under priest brogny cant even land 4 mil in clan boss or hydra
Trunda is one of the most accessible ultra valuable champs in the game considering she can be pulled from ancients. I waited 1.5 years to pull her and if she gets nerfed now I will not be a happy player.

Had Quintus and +4 before he ws level 2, and he sat in my vault. Never thought about using him for hydra. Good call. No, I'm very unlucky, when it comes to legendary Champs. I only have two legendary Champs; Ninja & Adelyn that were sign in Champs! I'm getting ready to quit because of it!
Oboro is a GODDESS!!! She did nearly 270 million with 5 star heavencast. Im waiting for her 6 star to show up in the shop to put her in crushing rend. She's not even empowered yet. 6 piece slayer is the way to go with her for sure. Switch off her A2 and A3 and pair her with Mikage and sit back.
While I love Oboro for Hydra; she's very auto-unfriendly. You did 270 million, but was that auto or manual? A lot of players I've talked to have talked about how her AI is a paint sniffer; for example, decapitated head with 4 debuffs and she chooses to hit the head of Wrath with 2 debuffs (just respawning, no provoke).
@d3clazclown716 it's mostly auto, BUT I definitely tap on decapitated heads. If I manually did it all.i could up her damage quite a bit. I run her with Ycensa Grail-Bearer. Her a2 adds 3 extra buffs to an ally. If I put those extra buffs on Oboro every time her damage would be much higher bc of the 5 star Heavencast blessing. But I'm way too lazy for all that 😁
@@AnoNymous-ek1wr Well, and her inept AI targeting; for whatever reason she just yolo's a lot of the time; and while you'd imagine her AI would prefer 4+ debuffed targets, and then decapitated heads like every other champion that has similar conditions; she doesn't. She just randomly attacks things and you lose quite a lot of damage from that. Even with Mikage, sometimes Mikage goes off the reservation and will Ally Attack into Torment, instead of, maybe a devouring head? or a decapped one? Nah... that head of Wrath only has 9 stacks, better get those numbers up instead lol.
@d3clazclown716 yep. Trust me, I know the hatred of the AI. I just tap on the heads to get them to go where I want them to go. I'm lucky enough to have Siphi as my mischief target, so with that team, I ALWAYS hit the 1500 turn limit on Brutal. I have 2 really solid teams, and I'm close to having my 3rd solid team. I just need the books, and I'll be doing Nightmare, Brutal, and Hard by next month. I've been really lucky with great leggo pulls the last few months, i just need 14 legendary tomes and I'll be set.

Razelvarg may be a bad ass bunny, but he'll never replace Bugs Bunny for charm, and ruthless cunning (especially against hillbillies and coyotes).

Had Quintus and +4 before he ws level 2, and he sat in my vault. Never thought about using him for hydra. Good call.

Also, I have one of the better accounts innthe game, 3 hydra teams with dbl/yum and empowered trundas... and I HATE TRUNDA! My 5 Acrizias hate the vault hahaha

Oboro is a GODDESS!!! She did nearly 270 million with 5 star heavencast. Im waiting for her 6 star to show up in the shop to put her in crushing rend. She's not even empowered yet. 6 piece slayer is the way to go with her for sure. Switch off her A2 and A3 and pair her with Mikage and sit back.
While I love Oboro for Hydra; she's very auto-unfriendly. You did 270 million, but was that auto or manual? A lot of players I've talked to have talked about how her AI is a paint sniffer; for example, decapitated head with 4 debuffs and she chooses to hit the head of Wrath with 2 debuffs (just respawning, no provoke).
@d3clazclown716 it's mostly auto, BUT I definitely tap on decapitated heads. If I manually did it all.i could up her damage quite a bit. I run her with Ycensa Grail-Bearer. Her a2 adds 3 extra buffs to an ally. If I put those extra buffs on Oboro every time her damage would be much higher bc of the 5 star Heavencast blessing. But I'm way too lazy for all that 😁
@@AnoNymous-ek1wr Well, and her inept AI targeting; for whatever reason she just yolo's a lot of the time; and while you'd imagine her AI would prefer 4+ debuffed targets, and then decapitated heads like every other champion that has similar conditions; she doesn't. She just randomly attacks things and you lose quite a lot of damage from that. Even with Mikage, sometimes Mikage goes off the reservation and will Ally Attack into Torment, instead of, maybe a devouring head? or a decapped one? Nah... that head of Wrath only has 9 stacks, better get those numbers up instead lol.
@d3clazclown716 yep. Trust me, I know the hatred of the AI. I just tap on the heads to get them to go where I want them to go. I'm lucky enough to have Siphi as my mischief target, so with that team, I ALWAYS hit the 1500 turn limit on Brutal. I have 2 really solid teams, and I'm close to having my 3rd solid team. I just need the books, and I'll be doing Nightmare, Brutal, and Hard by next month. I've been really lucky with great leggo pulls the last few months, i just need 14 legendary tomes and I'll be set.
I pulled trunda today so I don't want them to nerf her 😂
