This "how to spot the head" breakdown was what I needed. They all talk about wrath and mishief etc but it all didn't solve my confusion. For completeness the actual name of the head could be shown within brackets. The next good thing is saying what it does in short bullet points instead of reading the skills. Saves time in the video for the interesting stuff but submits the same amount of information.
I am 72 days in the game, 5 champs 6-starred, and my only strategy was to throw my strongest champs at Hydra -- with poor results -- maximum 700k damage. Your video is immensely helpful for me to start picking the right champions. I've almost got masteries for 6*Duchess, and I have 2 Uugos in the vault. So, with DUchess/Uugo as the backbone, I will be able hopefully get the first hydra chest. Thank you once again for your great hydra-for-dummies tutorial.
I love seeing Maulie on your list. I don't think she gets enough love. Two others I don't think get enough love: Kantra the Cyclone and Teela Goremane Kantra's 75% [Provoke] is actually more reliable than it appears, and when you put her in Relentless, it procs more than you think. She also brings all the important debuffs on her A2, even though it's random what you actually get. And a [buff steal] on the A1 has been helpful as well. For Teela, she's a fantastic support/healer. I run her in guardian for a little extra durability for the team, her A2 provides [AOE HP Burn] and [Continuous Heal] for the team, her A3 dishes out [Hex] and [Leech] and can [extend HP Burns], and her A1 does more [buff stripping] if needed. I love pairing her with HP Burn activators (I use Sicia). The main downside to both of them will be affinity issues, but I haven't run into that much, especially with Kantra's passive that can still place debuffs on weak hits!
Thanks a lot for this! Its been less than 3 months since I started Raid and I can do 10M on normal hydra with my artak, rathalos, nia and wukong carrying the team. I think I could at least double my dmg if I had a perfect veil champ, couldn't I? Bcs I get true feared a lot... Also I should probably add a provoker too. Your guide made me consider my options better for hydra, it was rly helpful!
It would be cool to see quick guides on the hard mode dungeons, maybe their differences from regular, and examples of good champs to use for them. Thanks. Great vid.
great guide my only feed back is to show more options for champs to counter the heads. For example sun wukong is a great block buffs champ that a lot of people have. And parts of the guide used to many VOID legos as option and not enough free to play friendly options that can help. for example the provoke champs besides butcher were all legendary. not a single epic was recommended. I recommend Duke the pierce as a prove champ since it doesn't weak hit and he brings DEC ATTK and DEF. but besides that amazing guide that didn't make hydra feel overwhelming
Good feedback. Thank you! I thought about this, and didn't want to make the video too long. I'll probably follow with part 2 dedicated to heads counter options
About grey head : I would add it has twice more defence than the other heads, so you have to hit really hard when it devours a champ. Question : if you have Graazur, would you rather lean towards extra turns (Reflex, Relentless) or Lethal set ?
Thank you for the clarification. I'd go for reflex or relentless on everybody if I can :) the value of the extra turns and keeping the buffs/debuffs up is way more than the value of lethal or savage, especially in much longer fights like hydra
for the highest scores, those are mostly manual runs. If you set a team like the one I showed in previous videos, it can run full auto. of course something might go wrong, so you'll probably need to free regroup a few times before you get the damage number you want, but it's still full auto
My main account has no aoe block buff (Uugo) nor perfect veil (Rector Drath). Can't even finish easy mode. While my alt account pulled Rector Drath and Uugo early on, and I can do 15 million damage on easy mode with garbage champs. Got all the OP champs on my main acc like Trunda and Salad but nope. No hydra chest for me...
Shit I'm 6 months in the future and this was the best guide from raid 💯
That's encouraging to hear :) Thank you!

Thank you. I'm thinking of releasing an enhanced version 2 adding some of the stuff you mentioned
I have been playing for four years and this was probably the quickest yet most comprehensive video for hydra. I always forget the names myself.
Kudos
Thank you! glad I could help

I don't trust Kantra. maybe it's personal :)
@@wizarddavegaming no judgment here. I've had lots of success with her, but that's just my personal experience. I won't speak for others haha
What a great video. So helpful teaching about the heads and their counters
thank you
This guide is exactly what I needed for my peanut brain!
:) glad I could help

Thank you! A provoker even single target and a veil champ or shmael can double your damage yes. Also better gear as you farm more
this is the bideo i really needed. thank you very much!
glad I could help. Thank you for your comment!
Wonderful guide!❤🔥💪🏽 Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
Thank you! Glad you liked it
A great video. Clear and simple ❤
thank you
Fantastic! Green tile is more like Green Veins or Green webbing. You rock! Thank you for a fabulous video that really helps!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you ! Yes :D vein or webbing are more fitting. I'll change it to this in any new updates
great video , more like this on hydra please
It would be cool to see quick guides on the hard mode dungeons, maybe their differences from regular, and examples of good champs to use for them. Thanks. Great vid.
in the plan :) Thank you for the feedback!
Visix for Provoke and DEC SPD is an easy option for F2P Players. She also adds survivability with Strengthen.
Great tip

Love the video! Just what i needed! also ninja is back for limited time so thats good news!
Thank you! Yes, ninja will fit perfectly
Great introduction to Hydra!
thank you!
Great video. This is a good one to reference again and again.
This was great!! Short to the point and not confusing!! I would love more giudes like this. Any chance you have an iron twins guide?
I'm making a list. iron twins is on it now
Clan boss, hydra, doom tower, sand devil... all the stuff 😂
Completing faction crypts and campaign nightmare are my issues. What about Husk for provoke?
come join my discord. we can help guide you to finish these
Great video, bro. Thanks.
was very goooood!

You should put ACTUAL NAME beneath the nickname in ( small print in parentheses )
will do this in the next version for sure
Great job
Thank you
Is it possible to run hydra successfully on auto battle? Or to get the really high scores are people manually running it?
for the highest scores, those are mostly manual runs. If you set a team like the one I showed in previous videos, it can run full auto. of course something might go wrong, so you'll probably need to free regroup a few times before you get the damage number you want, but it's still full auto
excellent thx
my struggle is nether spider
Thank you for the tip. I'll work on DT bosses
Do you only put warmaster on the damage dealer or on everybody?
for clan boss and hydra yes. or giant slayer if the damage dealer does multiple hits
Uugo, Uuko, Lilitu, Tuhanarak.... Ouch, I have none of those.
come to my discord. we can help you with options if you tell us which champs you have
Sharing with my clan
Thanks

Can you come over to discord and post your main roster there? I bet we can find you a good team
How can u mention doing damage to hydra and not talk about Trunda 🙃
I hear you :) the Trunda/Yumeko comp is great end game, but not for a basics vid
Where the subtitles 😂
which ones?
thanks a lot, i really wanted to understand its mechanics. I don´t have block buffs, does strip work well? for low normal and hard.
yes, Wukong for example works great there, madame Serris..etc .only thing is, the poison cloud is protected, only way to counter it is block buffs
@@wizarddavegaming i completely forget about wukong block buffs, thanks
