    I have been buying crispy onions when I needed them for a recipe. Anytime I cooked onions, I ended up with caramelized onions (if I was lucky). Now I can make my own crispy! Thank you for this video!

    This is a game-changer! I happened to stumble on this recipe and it has worked BETTER than all others. Usually, they want you to use flour but this sticks to the pans. Thanks!

    Thank you very much for this video. I am a man, my mom never taught me how to cook and now I live by myself.
    They turned our great. They shrank a lot and they weren't super oily. They're weren't quite as crunchy as I would've liked. I guess I should've left them in to cook longer.
    I never had the opportunity to cook much when I was younger, but I enjoy it

    Wauw never thought of slicing my onion that way..wayyy easier als with an knive and less messy as with a food processors. This is such an easy recepie i never thought of making it but i will most definitly.
    I saw in another video not to discard the oil because it has great flavour and i agree, i will use the oil and add some ingredients so i can make Chili oil. Both things go great on noodles for an extra oompf

    This is an interesting method and very quick. However I've started to prefer the slower method used in Pakistan which doesn't involve water and uses less oil. The onion slices keep their length rather than curl up

    I just made them and they did come out perfect! Although I don't really have the mastery of using the potato peeler on the onions... yet. :)
    How come you say to boil the onions first? What does that do? Should I add salt to the water, or better not?

    • @TheAncientTouch

      If you like you can add salt as well. Boiling makes the onion to get fried tender and crispy

    Should the water be squeezed out of the onions before frying onions in oil?

    • @TheAncientTouch
      @TheAncientTouch  2 года назад +1

      no need to press the onion so much just with a back of a spoon press them gently while in the strainer to get rid of excess water and that should be fine

    • @kkurly18
      @kkurly18 Год назад

      I used my small fryer in my kitchen and I did not squeeze the extra water out, once I added the onions onto the oil the oil started rising up and spilled everywhere. It is a safety hazard to mix oil and water so be careful please.
