Love seeing a bunch of shots in a row. Really helps dial in the eyes to see how the ball retains or loses rotation, how show or quick it is off friction. The more shots we can see with the ball, the better we can understand what it does
Love the slo-mo shots of the releases. In a future video, it would be great to see the difference for both B&K in slo-mo in their 'stock' release, their 'around it' release and their 'roll it' release. Everybody talks about these hand positions and describes them, but there aren't a lot of good visuals at the point of release.
During lesson at Turbo Tech, Specto data showed the Sublime slowing down and rolling earlier than a Harsh Reality. Changed how I slot the Sublime to use on longer & heavier sport patterns instead of as a benchmark piece. If the Sublime Focus has a stronger cover, that’s a very early rolling ball.
I do like being able to form my own opinion about the ball before being told what it's supposed to be, helps me relate to what part of my arsenal it'll fit.
Great video guys! It is going to take something real special to get that Phaze 2 out of the Symmetrical Solid slot in my bag. I like seeing all the shots, the good, bad, and the ugly. 👍
I love your guys videos. I have a suggestion for a video! I have been bowling for several years and I have a few balls. But every time I go looking to get a new ball I am all ways overwhelmed and confused on all the types of balls! videos like this one I am sure are grate for pro bowlers that want to see pacific balls and how they react. I guess am looking for something more generic. But my suggestion would maybe to do a video for intermediate bowlers and talk about how to pick out a new ball. Talk about the different kinds of balls, like the cores, materials, finish, everything that goes into a ball and how each thing will affect the ball movement. I my self have a hard time picking a ball, basically explain what to look for in a ball if you want a ball to move in a certain way. Like if you want a ball that hooks a lot or one that will not hook as much or if you want the ball to hook early or late. Balls for different oil, heavy or light oil….. maybe show some ball spec’s and explain them
I think the only changes I'll be making, going forward.. stick to 1 brand.. presently, I use all 3 brands.. Strom, Roto and 900... But, they all make the same style of ball.. so I end up drilling balls that are to similar..
I'm not a left side bowler due to knee issues. I was hoping you would give us an idea how the ball worked going straight over the 2nd arrow on the right side.I use a Virtual Gravity from the right side and it has been pretty consistent. At 68 years old, the less work I need to do throwing the ball, the better it is.
All I want to know is, is this basically our first rendition of REX Solid? Because the original sublime was basically the first ball with REX Hybrid just globals versions.
@Kyle , when you mentioned you find yourself using phazes vs Idols unless up the lane. Why is that? the cores are just too weak on the idols for you to shape them with big angles?
I dont know if Brad and Kyle will answer, but if any knowledgeable person can help Id appreciate it. I also posted on Packy's as Im lost.. I got a NU Blue Hammer (rolled the old Blue hammer back in the day) as I was told it would be just like my old blue. Its not. The Bowling alley drilled it what he called standard Pin up finger tip. This ball is Agressive as hell. My ball speed at 70 yrs isnt what it was. its around 9.5 to 9.8. And the hook is horrid. Im at the left dot and rolling across the 5-10 and it still hooks to brooklynn to the 4 pin. Ive taken my hand out and it still hooks. Last league I had it fully polished with what the pro shop guy said would help. Still hooked. Can it be redrilled to less agressive? He said he couldnt and nothing would help. Recommended the Hammer Raw blue pearl instead, for 149 bucks (including drill). Im just getting back into bowling and averaging 120 in league. I used to be 195-200 20 years ago when I had to quit due to a popped shoulder. Thanks.
Aaaand it looks like virtually every other ball that's come out in the past 5 years. This industry needs to chill the F out. Having hundreds of new balls a year is totally ridiculous.
No it doesn't. It reads really early and locks up. Its not really round or continuous like a lot of other pieces like the Idols or Phaze 2s. Its almost like a weaker version of the Gem, where the Phaze 2 is a weaker version of the Reality/Reality Check.
@@myshield142 Not at all. I personally have no interest in buying the Sublime Focus. Nor the Ion Max. That being said, Technology is constantly evolving. With a very few exeptions, most balls on the market are replacable by nature. The only reason you think there are too many that come out is because there are 3 damn companies under storm. In reality, only 2 balls came out, and Roto Grip didn't make anything this time. Its too appeal to those who are brand loyal

Perfect video. Love the amount of shots and commentary!!!
I look forward to watching you guys this PBA season. The both of you are throwing it so well! I predict tour wins!!
@3:09 They beefed up the core? On the storm site, exact same core numbers between OG Sublime and the Focus
You're correct. I think they got confused because all the stuff has AI tech anymore. The original sublime was the 2nd or 3rd ball with it.
Or maybe they were thinking ion max vs ion pro where the max has a beefed up ion pro core
Yes. I liked the format of this video. Keep it up. Nice insight on balls that are fresh out of the box and those with lane shine on them. Thank You.
Really liked this form of ball reviewing lol. Great to see a bunch of shots in a row + the slowmo.
These are my favorite reviews also one you are teaching love ball reviews from you guys personally please continue
Thanks for not gate keeping the shots/ releases. Really helps to understand how much goes into the swing. Great job.

I could watch Kyle’s release 24/7😮💨
You meant brad’s release right? 😂
Him and Mitch Hupe have such a smooth release
I swear!!!
I loved this format.
I’d like to see some ball reviews revisited hahahah

100% LOVE the format. Both of you , good angles of shots. Apt comparisons. Great stuff !

You guys could make a cantaloupe look good.
New fav comment 😂
Let's see some competition again with the new ball.
Love the new content
Just bout that ball 2 weeks ago my average has been up tremendously. Went from 180 to 200 easy. Love it.
All I want to know is, is this basically our first rendition of REX Solid? Because the original sublime was basically the first ball with REX Hybrid just globals versions.
Ok, I'm getting my third Phaze II LOL!
Why I saw the picture to Sublime and not the Sublime focus lol
Hey Brad Been watching you guys for some time now. Wondering if you have considered going to 2 hands with the thumb out?
Reminds me of the old messager from Colombia 300
Maybe try polished as well, thanks for posting.
I think sublime focus is stronger than ion max. And I like pin down's phaze2 motion.
Need to throw one straight out of the box and then one shined. Same with the phase II
I’d like to see a ball review at Wilson Lanes in Romney WV and the format is fine.
This is how you guys should film every ball review.
@Kyle , when you mentioned you find yourself using phazes vs Idols unless up the lane. Why is that? the cores are just too weak on the idols for you to shape them with big angles?
Too strong would be more likely. They use too much energy in the front of the lane
What do you think compared to the Summit Ascent?
How would this compare to an Org Zen?
It’s crazy how much 50ish revs makes a difference. Kyle’s shot looks much more aggressive than Brad’s.
That’s more ball roll than rev rate
One of yall tucking the pinky ?
Is this the replacement for the summit because the summit is now discontinued?
I got the Sublime Focus and mine is rolling like Brad's... too strong for me. I put 4000 and still too strong. Might put polish on it
Dialed in. More like "Kyled in" lol
These bros can bowl
I am down in your town alot would love for you to teach me and point me in the right direction

Hi im a 2hander right handed need a ball for the fresh rev rate is 375 14mph ball speed thanks.
A left handed consultant would be helpful for evaluating the balls

I mean a bunch of balls look the same on house shot
I’m a 2-handed bowler and I just recently broke 100, and further advice so I could increase my scores?
Practice, practice, practice, rest, practice, practice, practice.
Pretty much get consistent on your shots, do not burnout and always try to get the best shot possible instead of only thinking of striking.
@@jasonboness3871 😂😂😂 ok
@@Bananoide00F Ok, thanks I will try that
Pick up those spares
Hi
Keep telling us to like the video at some point during the recordings. My intentions are to like it.. but I almost always forget.
What time are yall inside this bowling alley ? 😂
Completely empty and all chairs up
like it
