My first full-odds shiny was a Zubat in Heart Gold. He was a beast in the Pokeathlon dome, and I kept him through Kanto.

The one issue I have with this video is how you flip back and forth between using dupes clause depending on the Pokémon. Good other than that.

The thing with all of eevees evolutions is that if you level them up too high without evolving them first, they'll miss a stab move they learn at like 15

@@Oshawaves In Platinum Vaporeon can't get water gun because you get the Eevee at too high of a level so it does naturally learn a water move until level 72 where it gets hydro pump

First of all, amazing video!! Second of all, can we get a "hot take" warning for the comment about the original shiny pooch @ 3:00 . I may or may not be a little biased because Pooch was my first shiny in a pokemon game (pokemon emerald), buuuuuuut OG Pooch / Mightyena literally blew my mind when i first saw it. It was mainly the shock factor of seeing a pokemon in a different color than i had seen it a million times but also because it looks so damn good. Again, great video. Excited to see what else you have in store for us!!

This would have been sick with a randomizer
it would be, but sadly only the pokemon available in the wild and gift pkmn have custom shinies, so other pokemon that can't be caught throughout the region normally like darminitan or persian don't have custom shinies
were you really surprised that you had an easy time with the E4 when you had 3 legendaries and a pseudo in your party?
edit: was watching in the background so wasn't paying full attention, but did all the E4 have legends/mythicals, or just steven?
I was surprised, more so because I was expecting them to have way harder teams, not so much because I had swept.
Sadly, just Steven did. Would have 100% preferred them to all have legends and competitive teams

Traditionally I can see your point, but given the fact that the whole point of this video is to show off custom shiny Pokémon. I didn’t see a reason to not use both. If my second wurmple had evolved into the same line, I would’ve just went back and shiny hunted for a different Pokémon

How long did you play for? The shiny odds are 1/100, so they are still rare. Especially at the start of the game when all you can do is run around in the grass

I know it’s late but why didn’t you go with the dupes clause for this play through with wurmple?
I kinda explained it in the video. Since wurmple can evolve into two different evolution line, I went through with it. The main focus of the video was to show off all the custom shiny Pokémon, the shinylocke was just to add extra spice

i myself am shiny hunting mewtwo in ultra moon wormhole. i do not feel great about not waiting to do it after i get the shiny charm though. sitting at 3001 resets atm. was kinda sitting on a high from my 1114 resets shiny palkia right before.

this is a good video, but i wanna point out the sheer amount of black/grey/red pokemon really shows the lack of creativity the modder had, some of them dont even look cool in correlation to the mon, like the Oddish, Shiftrey etc etc
i can see your point fs, but when you're rendering these as 3d models, it takes a lot of time to make one custom shiny Pokémon, let alone like the 150 in this game. Some are better than others, but even GameFreak doesn't make the best shiny Pokémon :p
