Project bike, raced "10k" engine selling for 4300. Oil leaks, running on low oil, water, red flags everywhere.
I would offer $3,000-$3,500 off rip. I still don't trust that $10,000 motor but it's up for $4,300 sounds wishy washy to me 🤣.

No, 4300 is not worth it. You can get a 2018-2020 with under 10hrs for around 5k. That thing is clapped out I wouldn't pay $2500 for it.

I have a question was that a factory exhaust pipe or header pipe on a $10,000 motor? Cuz that's what it looks like it looks like factory exhaust or at least that head pipe does. And if it is why would you run that on a $10,000 motor?

Flywheel cap o ring..no big deal. Cam cover leak.. no big deal. Probably didn't put Yamaha seal on it. The smoke it is puffing out is not good. It isn't real bad but seeing it has water in the radiator it probably has either a small head gasket leak, valve seals are starting go or the bottom oil rings are starting to wear past tolerance. Definitely a nice bike. Not 4300 nice.
Port and polished head with racing ECU means someone has beat the hell out of it. I would not even consider the 10k of work on the motor because that's irrelevant for your purpose. I would offer it 3-3.5k max.
Not necessarily.. Most racers that spend aftermarket money on the bike usually take better care of it ..washed ..cleaned up .. Maintenance.. than normal squid that rarely changes air filters / oil. Hardly washed.. Put up dirty/ stained plastic.. But w look over can tell if taken care of.. And see when,what and who on rebuild!
@EP McDonald Did you not watch this video? Look at the condition of this 2016 MX bike from the outside. This is not a garage toy. This bike clearly got the shit beat out of it on not only on dirt but mud also. It's rusted and leaking everywhere. The radiator had WATER in it, not coolant. Being a squid has nothing to do with taking care of bikes. Some squids take good care of their bikes, while some skill riders dont.
Do oil change and change coolant put some engine ice in at and run ams oil dirt 10w-40 she won’t let you down and check for a leaking coming from water pump weep hole
If it rides through the gears fine and no shocks are leaking it's a real rekluse clutch I'd offer him 3800 cash and say take it or leave it
... sprockets,chain, coolant,leaked fluids , obviously you'll have to check valves... that right there is chunk of change. Try to find some history on it, if it was someone's race bike, walk away otherwise Make an offer about mid three thousand would be my guess... good luck!

3500 because of two things the oil leak and just having water in the radiator for two reasons that corrodes and ruins water pumps in these bikes run hot period the only thing I would run in it is engine ice so since there is water in it that's terrible chains no big deal

It's actually comedy that they dont know about pr2 custom built motors. It's not a horrible buy there's no tac timer on how many hours are actually on the motor. It's a dirt bike why you think there's knobs on the tires made for dirt or racing the fact dumb people use these to ride on streets is just beyond me.

No, I don't think it is worth $4300. It looks like an ex race bike, that was slapped together with all the leaks. It also needs a front sprocket and the chain c clip was put on backwards, that's why I think it was slapped together for sale. Toronto, Canada

The master link on the chain is not installed correctly! If they can’t get a chain clip right then I can’t say that they got the engine right! He’s asking to much if the bike was in A+ quality then sure 4300 is a deal for that thing. But not in the condition it’s in. It’s a washed up race bike.
Bike was rode hard, it was raced for sure , to be honest it isn’t a good fit for you VEE you can get a cleaner bike for the same if not less I wouldn’t buy it it looked beat and not taken care of. I raced my whole life and my bikes didn’t look that rough. I’d pass bro
