"I'm not as educated as some other people are" I came here to watch the show, but this is why I keep coming back. Kripp is one of the most reasonable people I've seen on the internet.
Unregistered here means "Not registered to a private owner." Guns that are manufactured and sitting in warehouses, unsold guns, militia and state stockpiles, military stores, are all counted as unregistered.
I think Kripp's brain skipped the realization that there's no way the government would have a count on "unregistered firearms" if they were illegaly owned and hidden away guns kind of thing.
@OwGash The kicker is most of these "unregistered" arms remain categorized in the US here, yet seemly often times end up in the possession of various "groups" in, let's say... sandier parts of the world.

registered vs unregistered means exactly that. when I purchase a gun I have to fill out a form and proceed thru a backgeound check for the purchase of a weapon. I'm approved or not. However, the specific gun I purchased is not registered/tied to me necessarily. all that happened was I was checked to see if I can own a gun or not. then there is private sales. this is up to the seller to make sure the purchaser is legal to own a firearm or they will be held liable.
If you build your own gun, it is unregistered. If it predates serialization, it's unregistered. If it doesn't use cartridges, it's unregistered. So forth.
There are a lot of states that require you to register the receiver prior to building your gun. Granted some people don't, but the law in theory prevents unregistered guns at home.
Living in a safe country and not having a gun is one thing, but try living in a country like Brazil, where any cell phone thief on the corner has an illegal gun, and I have to meet a thousand requirements to have a legal gun.
In Canada, we do not have to register (tell the government) what non-restricted firearms(shotgun/rifles) we have to register handguns, when we could purchase them. I believe in the US it is referring to short barrel shotgun/rifles as example that civilians have to pay a $200 "tax stamp" for, at that point the government knows that have those firearms. Nearly everything else, they do not register to individuals
No country touches the level of freedom. Look, every country you utilized is and it was controlled to the point of ridiculousness. Then you get to ISA a country of rebels made for rebels, and you deal with their ability to rebel… I mean you need to think about that before you even think about rebellion…

The purpose of unregistered firearms for a law abiding citizen (at least in the US) is so the government doesn’t know who has a weapon. The first step to confiscation is registration. It’s a preventative measure against government overreach. Don’t have to agree with it, but that’s what it is.
oh yes, the biggest army on the planet wont have a chance against the south(where 90% of unregistered firearms reside) and their cholesterol. An AR-15 can blast through a freaking tank, 0.50 caliber shotgun can take down a drone, and on an on.
The 2nd Amendment is pretty much obsolete and worthless as national defense gains foreign threat and the possibility of your government turning tyrants.
Hey kripp I know what my username says but I live in the US now and what I wanted to say was about unregistered firearms in the US. In America the ATF deals with firearms and making sure you don't own fire arms you are not supposed to. The ATF regularly kills animals (pets) and people due to barrel length of rifles and is extremely untrusted amongst the population of America (look into Ruby Ridge and Waco Texas if you are interested about why) leading to the massive amount of unregistered fire arms in America. Its due to not wanting the ATF prying into your life and possibly knocking on your door.
Your comment is incredibly wrong. The existence of the ATF (and whether US citizens trust them) has nothing to do with why there are so many unregistered guns in the USA. Like another commenter already cogently explained; unregistered gun means not registered to a private citizen. Guns that are waiting to be sold, are in military/militia/state stockpiles are all counted towards unregistered firearms.
I don’t understand why would you care and want it looked into? People who commit crimes don’t follow laws to begin with, and don’t worry about registering firearms. What’s funny is seeing on the news of a Canadian police chief telling people to leave their car keys by the door so the criminals can just come in and take.
The problem is pretty much all guns used by criminals in the US started of as legal guns. Proper gun control, should prevent gun from falling into the wrong hands. We need to insure and register our cars, why not guns?
@@remliqa Yes that is true because all guns are legal guns until someone use them for illegal purposes. The problem with registering your guns with the government is they take them away. Like CA did. They said we just want the guns on a list if they are used in a crime. Then a few years later CA passed law and now you are a criminal for owning a gun they don’t like. Look at countries with a lot of gun laws but criminals still have them. Law abiding citizens don’t.
I’m not educated but I’m gonna share a neutral view on the topic I’m uneducated about to make sure I stay politically correct with my viewers. Kudos Kripp
It's simple kripp in America we have a second Amendment which protects our right to bear arms and registries have been declared unconstitutional aside from firearms that are for concealed carry purposes of course which personally I consider unconstitutional but it's just me, and it would be very bad if they knew who all had guns simply because if things go south that's who they go after first because those are the ones that can defend themselves
I'm pretty sure across even america, most civilian owned guns are pistols, shotguns and semi-auto/hunting rifles. Fully automatic weapons are decently rare, and also most likely primarily old ww2/vietnam era guns.
Unregistered is "not tracked" if you want to keep it simple. If you want to live in a country where the government tracks 100% of what people do, then you dont live in a free country.,

It means the government doesn't need to know what I have at my home.
That's not a problem if it stays in your home and nowhere else. Alas , that's not the came in many tragic circumstances.

Kripp talking about statistics and deeper meanings in gun numbers lol. Maybe other countries forbid guns, maybe that is your anomaly rofl
And then ask yourself who in Yemen carries guns. The non-Integration of these numbers is, well, just awkward ...
