From personal experience, I would recommend a walk in shower for a mother-In-law home. Stepping over a tub side will become more difficult and dangerous as she ages.
Really nice. I would want this for my Mom because she would try to take over my house. Her own area would give her something to do 😂💕
THIS is SUCH a NICE home for your family member; WHAT a NICE family…! God Bless you!! 👍🏼🩴👣
Omw I would LOVE the space to do something like that for my mom in law - she would DIE for that kitchen 😱😱😱
Beautiful job, has everything and more with what you would need to live.
I am slowly doing an 18 foot square! Apartment. Small and sweet.
What a great space for the MIL!
I’m packing my bags as we speak! 🤷🏽♀️ 📦 🧳
That is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful space!!
Really like the kitchen , But i'd like it more if the sink was under the window and the frig matched the stove . Also a walk in shower in master bath for older folks it's safer than a tub.
Definitely agree with your comments and thank you. Customer always has final say in design and budget definitely comes into play. This customer absolutely wanted a jetted tub in her master, which is what we did, but I definitely advised a shower. Thanks again!
That's exactly what I would love to have maybe designed a little bit different but hey I think these garages people don't use the perfect place for an in-law suites for their mother or their father and after the family's dialysis and their college kids hey they got the first pad it's a winner all the way around I love it
Wow! Love it! How much would it cost to have this done?
Beautiful❤
very nice, thanks
Love everything about what you did!!!
A++++
Consider wider doors for walkers wheelchairs. Also a separate walk in shower with hand rails and separate tub. Think about hip/knee replacements.
That is perfect! I hope you used wood floors in the bedroom so if she ever has to use a Walker she can get around!
I love this! I would be the ideal MIL that would never drop by unexpectedly OR babysit. 🤨
Love this !
Need grab bars in the bathroom for future needs.
There are.
this is awesome! could you please send pics of the exterior?
Thank you! I don't have any, but I will drive by there sometime and post.
Are doors made wide enough for future living in case of wheelchair access? Washer and dryer to me should have been turned on window side for (again) easy access as well as the bath/shower. When you get older, jacuzzi tubs are not fun to climb out of.
Just saying. 🤷🏻♀️ as I’m a caregiver and have seen them struggle and they say, “ oh I should have….”
I would eliminate the first bathroom you showed. Have a small space behind that door, that opens to a large bath/wd. That space, also would have a door to a bigger bedroom, that also has a door, to the one larger bathroom. That would give some room for extra cabinets, in the kitchen, also. I LOVE the kitchen.
Do you need permits from city to build it?
Yes.
If I see one more kitchen where they don't put the sink under the window where it belongs I'm absolutely going to lose my mind! Who wants to look at the wall when they're doing dishes?
I agree, but at the end of the day, I have to put it where the customer wants it. What you don't see is that outside that window is a huge dumpster, because the family operates a business out of their shop across the parking areas. She has a great view of the pasture and horses out of the backside of the house, but unfortunately the view out the front where that window is isn't so great.
Niiiiice
Hi love the concept, we are building a 14x34 shed to tiny home.. in Palm Beach, Fl. Are you in Florida, and avail for a bid?
I wish! Love FL, but have lived in TX my whole life. Thx for the complement on our work!
why did i read "mother in lawsuit garage"
Is 14 inches between counter and cabinet to code??
54" from the floor is code for wall cabinets, but when customer was given that information they still wanted them lower.
Could I adopt him. I’d love o be his mom. I hope she knows how luckybshebifsvv
Can hear you and all I hear that was an echo
Put it on mute, turned on captions. Because I couldn't hear what was being said. For me myself I wouldn't want 2 bathtubs. No need. Not a fan how washer and dryer is set up. Otherwise nice.
why would you need TWO bathrooms with only ONE bedroom?
There are 2 bedrooms, we just didn't show the other one.
Too much echo!!!
Sound is bad.
