It's even more sad when Cristina told Owen that animals were feeding from her body for a couple of days. This is just TRAGIC. TRAGIC, that one of the most beloved characters had such an awful ending. A piece of an airplane above her body and then animals eating her... It's disgusting and dramatic.
This still breaks my heart every time I watch it. And then I watch Season 9's first ep and it breaks my heart more. They could have done it differently. But it had such a big impact to all the Grey's Anatomy viewers. They really are meant to be. Had Mark survived, it would never be the same without Lexie. They will always be my favorite couple in this show :))

Guys I know you probably hate shonda for doing this but Eric and Chyler both left the show for personal reasons, so shonda didn't really have a choice. The only way to send off these characters is either kill them or have them leave. These characters are both beautiful people and amazing people. The only way to send them off with respect is to kill them. This death scene in my opinion was the best way to kill Lexie, and marks death scene was also the best way to kill him, with him saying Lexie is waiting for me and losing the will to live because he loves her too much to stay alive in my opinion is nothing but beautiful. So next time you think FUCK SHONDA or IM NEVER WATCHING THIS SHOW AGAIN, just remember that shonda is making the best of a sad situation. I will always miss these characters and they will never be forgotten, but I'm excited that shonda is looking ahead to the future of this amazing show.

Everyone who watched Greys Anatomy in it's earlier seasons were able to recover from George's death, even though he was a favorite among the characters, so I'm sure everyone will eventually get over Lexie's death...Also, it was Chyler's choice to leave the show because she wanted to spend more time with her family, so stop blaming Shonda for a choice she didnt make (Lexie's ultimately leaving the show)
