- Character balancing in Tekken 8 has been a huge problem since launch! However, this time around I think the game is in a pretty decent state. Granted mechanic wise a lot of things need to change but it's soo good seeing soo much character variety at high level.

I agree with everything but the Nina placement, I think you’re overhyping db2 a lot bc it’s not as great as it seems. Sure she got it’s CH launch back but that’s bc it was never OD or that good to begin with, it’s 24f which is really slow and you’re rarely catching people with this unless you have a read like they’ll do df1 into SS and into another df1 for eg. It’s a very specific CH laucher… watch High level gameplay and you’ll see for yourself, Lee’s 1+2 is 100x better and he still has his, there are actually 100s of CH launchers better than this, and I wouldn’t say Nina is broken or Top 2, id say the system just really favours her, but her PC in heat is really strong which is the only potential thing that could be nerfed, maybe her gun damage. Also the Nina player has to take a lot of risks and be really proficient to make her work at high ranks and even in competitive. I’d say she’s just really strong and got the buffs she needed. It's still a strong move
The fact that everyone else's is big homing move was nerfed and yet she keeps hers is huge for her.
It's slower that Lee's but it has more range..It also has push back on block.

@@GamerNemy It’s one of those moves that you have to use yourself to know how strong it is, the speed of a move really matters when we’re talking CHs… if it were 22 or less frames then it should be nerfed but considering it’s speed, it would be useless if it had no CH launch, see arslan’s gameplay and see if he ever uses it. Also I don’t see the pushback on block, you’re left pretty close. Like I’d honestly trade DB2 for lilis F3 considering you get 56 dmg but less risk and better chance of a CH. Lees is way better bc firstly 3 frames faster is already a good point, the frames on block is absurd. -1 ob and +2 if you go into stance for pressure and he has really good options now, all from a 21f homing move with good range.
doesnt matter if youd trade a strong move for another strong move. its still strong. nina downplayers are here to stay
I think she's hella overrated right now, people moan about her gun strings in heat but fail to understand they are all highs. Her b1+2 in heat is the only jailing gun string but has trash range and is linear af. The things that are over the top imo are her power crush heat dash which loads of other characters have and her combo damage. People out here saying her 50 50 is insane with sweep which is just not true at all. People out here saying she has some of the best low pokes in the game which is just not true at all. People out here saying her f4 is op when it's not. People love to complain, she's overrated imo. Please someone tell me something that's broken id love to be proven wrong
