- Jay Carter, the CEO of the disaster relief organization Halo Relief, said his team will be in North Carolina as long as possible, cleaning debris and supplying food and water to those impacted by Helene. Carter explains how challenging conditions like large piles of rocks and cold overnight temperatures complicate aid efforts.

Most of the buildings still standing are brick-built. Maybe there's a lesson there?
Yes.
That was the best and most affordable building material for that area.
You will see houses made of wood where there are plenty of tress available.
In the keys brick construction is not economical because of the production and transport costs.

idk... think about it. what types of structures were in existence during "biblical" times? I dont think it would take much to clear our a community or city. These storms, the impact is a lot more than that. As much as I respect God, I would never try to suggest I am wise enough to say what kind of emotional state (very human) God is in. I seriously doubt happy or unhappy is part of the equation. Let's focus on human efforts, ok? That's our role anyway
