Yeah exacly the same way! they are just planes rotated around the center of the middle plant! here is the texture : www.textures.com/download/PlantsSingle0058/143456
HI, if you referring to around 0:53, I did that to adjust the alpha curves so there won't be any half transparent pixels. this does not patch the holes in the middle that much but this way we make sure there are no pixels sitting at 50% opacity and everything is opaque (for example a glass texture might have some transparency but I didn't want that for that texture!).
hmmm haven't tried in unity yet but I assume it's the issue with the normals./backface culling. if somehow you can enable two-sided faces and set the shader to unlit it must work as intended. lemme know what you came up with.
@@druidkey1449 i was actually hoping to export this into unity, is there anything i could do to export this succesfully from blender to untiy or is it something that has to be tweaked in unity
Always use nearest neighbor to scale down
ahh yeah, that is very true. I missed it. thanks for the comment

Probably one of the biggest contributors to the retro style gamedev community :) keep doing what you do ❤️

excellent tutorial thank you!
This looks great! thank you!
hey, thanks for watching
Thanks!
this was helpful. thanks
How did you make the actual floor texture, is it a repeated seamless texture. Example how would you make sand transition to grass.
Nice tutorial! Thanks!
nice looking forward for more
Thanks for watching, more to come for sure
Did you create that circular grass thing the same way?
Yeah exacly the same way!

when will the next vid come out :(
Can you explain why you adjusted the alpha in that way? Did you only want the transparent outline and not the holes in the middle?

More tutorials please!!!
pls do more!!!
thanks for watching, will sure do!
That textures site is no longer free, and there seem to be no substitutes... :(
yeah its a huge pain now to get any textures and most of the alternatives are infested with ai shit
it looks strange in unity
