Huge man in size . I read a little bit about him . Hes the leafs old coach. His record is alright.. His offenses are pretty good. Defense ?. You gonna have to fill me in here . How is he defensively coaching.? Playoff lose in 1st round , alot ? Let go because he didnt meet thr leafs playoff expectations or get a championship..(not being negative, very little to read in these areas of him) My overall take?. The NJD want to make the playoffs, and this team of players get up for big name teams and has s great upside .. Our defense is 50/50 ( my opinion ,not fact). It surely isnt the legacy of the devils which made me a fan for life., i pray they bring in Stevens to talk to the guys sometimes .( Team season mentor). Hype them up on the defensive side, let them know we use break bones back then and still score points and nobody was whipping us in fights or on the lines.. but the Game has changed since the 90 snd early 2000s. .. I do feel the playoffs can be made, how far can we go is the question?. The coach seems to break in the playoff but ge gets you there, we got the talent to go far which is true ?.🤷. The Leafs fan here…I think the Leafs Management really held Sheldon back from holding guys to account if they made too much salary until his final year here. That being said, when he did get the leash removed, he still shied away from disciplining the star guys. Hopefully the NJ Management just lets him do his thing without trying to insulate certain players over others. You guys will enjoy his press interactions though, he likes to answer questions very deeply sometimes. I wish Sheldon the best of luck unless he’s playing The Buds😂
