Love your teaching style, bud. I've watched all your vids since I found you through TXG. Thanks for the great content and I have no doubt your vids will drive a tremendous amount of folks your way.
“Pivot...” Sorry I just had to say it 😂 Great stuff!! I went from fixing a horrible hook to a nice high fade off the tee box but ... oh man did it weaken my irons. Can’t wait to work on this at the range. Gracias!!!
Two years ago I lost about 10 yards in my irons can drive on average 290 but need an 8 iron from 150 yards out before was a PW to 9 iron depending on lie hopefully this will get my yardage up hasnt effected my game as much as I thought but annoying when your trying to have a pissing match with a buddy lol. My irons also go extremely high hopefully this helps!
I was the one that asked the question. Really appreciate you doing this video so I have a visual on what to work on. If the ball starts going left will that mean I am not rotating through enough? This whole problem with the open clubface started mainly due to actively avoiding a left miss
Yes likely is the problem. See if you put an alignment stick 5 feet in front of you just left of the target line and hit 50-100 yard 7 irons with the same transition move see what impact feels you need to start it more right with that face position.
Thx! Regarding the swing in general i have a tough time feeling I need to take away the club one piece take away. I think the swing starts and finish during the back swing. If I don't backswing right the downswing is going to be bad. So how do you load the club. It needs rotation and that rotation to me never happens if the butt end is not the pivot point or centre when the club is travelling in the air. I look at oosthuizen he seems to have club doing the work and reacts to that. By the way nice channel👌. Found out by you through TXG.
Great question. Its a long answer because it depends on the person's strengths and where they can generate power and rotation from the most efficiently. It's trying to see what is easiest for you. I think Oosthuizen looks that way bc the motion he is using is extremely efficient and his body it very impressive from a movement stand point. Thanks for the question. I'll see if I can shoot a video to detail this more in the next couple of weeks.
@@tylermcghiegolf Thx! I like your instruction. I shared on of your videos. Creative! I don't know how you manage! But I do like the content the lingo the interaction. Great stuff.
Awesome videos man. I'm a 2 handicap but am having problems pulling shots due to path at -5. Tendency is to not release club to correct. I live 2 mins from OCN. Any way to get a deal on a lesson package?
The program I run has a team deal with Lululemon. I rolled the dice and went with the hoodie. I wasn't sure if it would be easy to swing in, but its total fine.
I would say equal. If grip is really strong the logo on the golf will point in a different direction half way down vs a weak grip but use the club face position as the guide. I hope this helps!
It depends a bit on the player. Release happens in such a short time span and its post impact. So ideally you get it to the position you want (club path and face) to hit the shot from pre-impact and just go from there. If the player needs a release focus I add it but it has to be something very simple.
@@tylermcghiegolf its Post Impact!? I watched all Videos here on RUclips and i allways thought the Release is basically starting when the Club is parallel to the ground and then going through Impact!?

Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to continue to share.
Looks a little chilly in Fla but not as chilly as here in Barrie, Ont. Thanks for the great video
Ya definitely a bit warmer then Barrie. haha. Thanks for watching.

Thanks nice drill that I need to get better compression.
Great lesson again Tyler! Wishing you would use Trackman and a six iron to illustrate the affect of angle of attack on distance and spin rate!
Thanks! I'll add it to the list!

Is it better to get the face angle you want at last parallel by gripping it stronger or by changing your wrists angles?
Great question. That one really depends on the player.
i play with a bit of a strong so it seems i don't have to do that turn down move because if i do i usually hit a smothered hook.
Because of the grip just watch the face you don't want it to get too close too early in downswing.
You are awesome great video
Thanks!
A quick question Tyler, would it apply to the driver too?

For sure. Email me at tylermcghiegolf@gmail.com and I'll set you up.
great video but the real question is what brand is that hoodie?!
The program I run has a team deal with Lululemon. I rolled the dice and went with the hoodie. I wasn't sure if it would be easy to swing in, but its total fine.
Is this easier with a weak, neutral or strong grip? Or equal?
I would say equal. If grip is really strong the logo on the golf will point in a different direction half way down vs a weak grip but use the club face position as the guide. I hope this helps!
I am pretty new to Golf so it might be a stupid question but what about the Release?

@@Oswood1010 I hope the wedge video helped your picture.
I’ve got the other problem hit the irons far but driver not so far lol
Okay I'll definitely shoot a video to help in the next couple of weeks!
Tyler McGhie awesome thanks
So just basically have a strong grip and just turn & burn
Check Danny Willett's move really strong grip. Good visual.
