Young lady you certainly found a stop that appeals to this old man. These are my memories of the past. I will have to visit this one day. Thank you for sharing sites and locations like these that inspire us all.
My late husband and I had our 2nd date there - 35 years ago! Love it.😍 He was a big western fan - especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Our favorite western movIe RIO BRAVO was filmed there.
🤠🌵Grew up in Phoenix. We used to go down to visit Old Tucson when I was a kid, so have a sentimental place for it in my heart. It broke my heart when I heard it burned down, and they closed it. That was quite some time ago. Lots of changes, but glad to see it open again for our younger generations to enjoy, after all these years. Wow, the memories! 💕🙏🏻
I am not a big western fan but I did love the movie Tombstone. Mostly because I love Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer and Sam Elliot! Everyone was good but I think Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday was excellent.
Thank you so much for your positive , fun attitude l feeling a little more hopeful about being a nomad living in a van bcuz of you and other you tubers .
Yeah, that makes me so excited that it gives you a bit more confidence about traveling. The fact of the matter is there’s a lot of different places that we can go and some of those places are going to be a bit more comfortable than others. Whenever you’re first starting out, make sure that you’re taking your time and not rushing through and if you ever get a bad feeling about something made rice is always just to move fourth because it’s always better to say safer than sorry.
Growing up in Tucson was fun. Lots to do, places to go and fun to have. The first time we went to Old Tucson, my brother decided to recreate a street fight and rolled off the roof of our house just like the stunt folks rolled off the roof of the Grand Palace. My mom was hanging out the wash and he almost gave her a heart attack. My senior year at Canyon del Oro, we had our after prom at Old Tucson. That was so fun!!!
Yes, well the vast majority of it was filmed there some of the props located here came from that location, but also were used in some of the backlight scenes. One of the things that we learned while visiting was that a lot of places use this as a full stage, however, some use it for pieces of their production.
Bunny, Thank you very much. Went to Old Tucson on a summer school vacation in 1978. Have a beautiful and blessed week.
