I second that! I just love the way she has FUN! She just bounces to the music! Why can't we all just enjoy singing like THAT!

Sí se parece a la partitura original... la tengo delante ahora mismo, y se parece muchísimo ^^ . Creo que ambos están magníficos, y han sabido llevar muy bien la complejidad que esta aria implica ;)

I have done you the favour and yes Teresa and Herman are total magic!!! Is it OK to say that I personally still am crazy about Beverly's interpetation of Rosina?? Teresa was a stunning singer but we cannot compare a mezzo with a coloratura soprano! Cheers!

No, Henry Price was the tenor. That's Titus. Titus was nominally a baritone at this point in his career but he sounded awfully tenorish and sang some tenor parts. Then he became a Verdi baritone. Today he's a Wagnerian Heldenbariton.

Not yet, this is the first part of the trilogy. Also Rosina isnt a contesse yet...And thats why Bartolo seeks revenge on Figaro...Anyway wikipedia it. Or better yet read the Beaumarchais plays

It depends upon whether the conductor will allow it and the Figaro has enough energy.

He certainly is a great singer with such voice and presence, but fioritura/ semiquaver runs just weren't his things i guess... I'll start praying for another Juan Diego Florez who's a baritone...

lol. but, the notes he sings are actually accurate.

Alan Titus is fantastic here. And Sills *sounds* good, but the ornamentation is wacky.
