Nice pieces! I enjoy watching your experiments. I have been fusing over 10 years and I always pick up an idea or bit of knowledge I can use. Thank you. (Loved your HL comment...So many people have become so comfortable with their own beliefs, feelings, etc., that they ultimately become the intolerant ones. You do you! ❤️)
Loved this video. I laughed when you were using the mica because I had the same experience. A little goes a long way and it does go everywhere. I really liked the finished pieces and always pick up great tips from you. Thank you!!!
I've done stamping with Versamark and mica. I've never sanded the glass, just gone straight on with the Versamark but if you try it, just be prepared for the stamp to slip if you press too hard. I dump a lot of mica on the impression and use an artist brush to clean it up. Once the mica is on, it should not smear. You can clean the stamp by dumping it in water. I believe Versamark is mainly glycerine. I did some research on mica before I bought some and found out that unless it is made for fused glass, the colour may not hold through a firing. I use the glass type, capped and uncapped and the colours have remained true. I've never tried the Colours for Earth but love the way your project turned out. May have to give that a go. I think it looks terrific and I'm envious of your collection of millefiori.
So glad to have discovered your videos! Brand new to glass fusing and learning so much from you. Thank you! Beautiful pieces. I just placed an order with Tabitha last week so can’t wait til I get my goodies and can start playing!
Thanks so much for mentioning my mica video. Next time you try this , maybe use a stamp that does not have so much detail. I just love your idea of adding murrine. They look awesome.
Thanks again for another video & sharing with us! Have you tried ez mouth enamel paint for stamping? I'm willing to test using ez mouth if need be. TYI!
Hi there! First, I made test tiles so I knew how glass acted in my kiln. Those give me a target wen I’m deciding what to do. And I have done a ton of reading! Bullseye has a great tech note about firing and making test tiles. Try this: www.bullseyeglass.com/images/stories/bullseye/PDF/TechNotes/technote_4_2020.pdf and this one: www.bullseyeglass.com/images/stories/bullseye/PDF/TechNotes/technotes_1_202010.pdf
I have watched this a few times. How long have you been doing glass fusing? Please. I am still learning, I was told by an artist to stop buying and start making, lol
These are both beautiful pieces !! I have just purchased my first bottle of Glassline white paint. Have you ever used this product to stamp with ? Do you think it would work as well as the Colours of Earth paint?
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! When you added the mat board to the frame, did you take out the glass that was included with the frame? If not, did you put the mat board on top of the glass or behind it? I couldn't tell from looking at it on the video. Thanks again!!
@@JamaisonSchuler A couple of stamping tips: Think about inking the stamp pad, place it down on your table face up and then push the glass onto the stamp (opposite way of how you did it). It's especially helpful with transparent glass as you can see exactly where you are positioning the stamp. Press evenly. I like cleaning stamps with stamp cleaner (available wherever you buy stamps). Stamp aligners are a great way to align up a previously stamped image. Can you fuse with embossing powder instead of the mica? I have tons of those from my previous craft life :-). If so, is it still 1400 for 15 mins? Do you do any cooling holds or just let it cool down to 0 from there?
@@susanhardy1443 I like the idea of pressing the glass onto the stamp! I’ve never used embossing powder, so I can’t speak to that specifically, but you should plan for a proper cooling ramp down regardless. The base glass still needs to anneal properly
@@JamaisonSchuler I tested it and used both red and pink embossing powders. The pink came out white and the red disappeared completely, which is not what I expected. The red disappeared even when it was covered with clear glass. The pink (which came out white) can be rubbed off on the ones that were not covered with clear. I fired at 1400°F for 15 mins and opened the kiln at around 200°F. Do you use the same temp/time when firing with glassline enamels? I might paint over them to try and improve it.
Thank you!! That dress stamp is to die for!!!!!
Beautiful work!
I love these. Thank you for the details and the inspiration ❤
Love rewatching this!! Updates always fun too!!
I always learn a ton from you. You are so creative. I don’t think the video is to long for all the info.
Beautiful & Hobby Lobby is the best!
They are beautiful. YOU R SO TALENTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for experimenting for us. I like how the cross turned out.

This video was so cool. Loved it. You are amazing. These videos are so. Fun.
Jamaison, you are so adventurous! I thought this was really quite clever. They sure turned out so pretty. Thank you so much for sharing!
These turned out great. The dress looks like a great bridal gift.
You are such a perfectionist. The cross is beautiful and I love the dress. Everything looks so spring.
Lovely projects. Great use of several techniques! Thank you for sharing, appreciated every minute.
I love your videos, thanks for practicing and taping for us!

If your stamping medium is water cleanup, a sponge in a tray or a scrap of wet towel makes for easy clean up that gets into the grooves.
Very pretty!
Very creative, love the end results
Thank you!
Thank you for doing the video! Your pieces turned out great!
You can get the versamark in a pen form, great for filling in and writting
exactly what i was looking for! Thank you for an excellent tutorial! I have subscribed.

Another fun and informative video! Thanks Jamaison
They are cute pieces. Buy your craft supplies wherever you find them. I use Hobby Lobby periodically. Sometimes even the Dollar Store has fun stuff.
Beautiful ❤️
You are hard on yourself, but we all are, when we are making items. Thanks
Love your videos, these look great

I have not!
Did you keep the clear glass that was in the frame or just switch it out for the Mat board?
I mount my piece to the clear frame glass and place mat board behind the glass
Love your videos!!❤
Hi, how do you work out your firing schedules? do you have a formula you use? thanks

Hi there. Could you tell a where you got your multiple outlet power bar? I’m setting up my new studio and this would be so helpful. Thank you ❤
Hi, is this what you are referring to? www.homedepot.com/p/ProHT-4-ft-12-Outlet-Power-Strip-03201-22/320546852
Verry Nice work i like it👍👍👍👌
I have never had good luck with the versamark and mica. Sort of the same problems. Love the other piece.

I’m an “evenings and weekends” glass artists, doing this for about 3 years now? That’s wonderful advice - just make! 🙃

Sorry, I’ve never used Glassline. Good luck!

Great question: I glued the pieces to the glass and put that back in the frame, mat board behind glass, then frame backing/stand.
@@JamaisonSchuler Thanks so much!!
What are you cleaning the stamps with?
I used baby wipes to get a quick wipe but then go back and clean with isopropyl alcohol.
