I’d love it if they added the trade authority kiosk being buildable at your base or allow you to build a traders lodge at your base so they can have traders randomly show up via ship and leave after a certain amount of time. Just to make a base more of a central location.

It would be nice to have a smugglers alliance or merchant/mining alliance that can introduce these gameplay mechanics. I do expect the Tracker’s Alliance to have more of a fleshed out quest line in the future that will let us use the brigs

    • @GarrettBShaw
      @GarrettBShaw 10 месяцев назад +2

Agree, I thought that they should use similar mechanic to the cargo links, but have one that we can just set up as a trade authority link. Where all the resources that get routed into that one get picked up by ships and sold. I'd be okay if it they sold for a 10th of the usual sale value. That way we could be mining resources and then selling them off in bulk

    • @Paulunatr
      @Paulunatr 10 месяцев назад

ANY traveling merchant ship interaction at outposts would be most welcome. The system just kinda serves no purpose as it is.
Here's a fun idea: create a fueling module to be built at outposts and connect it to a designated trade landing platform. Now feed a supply Helium-3 into the fueling module. Presto, your outpost is now a gas station, earning you passive income. Increase the variety of resources you're mining, harvesting, and manufacturing to increase traffic and thereby your profits.
Seriously, if any modder wants to implement this idea, go nuts.

It's so lame we have options to remove traits but not add them. If I want to embrace a religion, I should be able to do it normally, organically.

    • @tylerstimson
      @tylerstimson 10 месяцев назад +34

I understand why they did what they did. They wanted to make traits really matter by limiting you to just three and making it so the only way to get them was at the beginning. It encourages multiple characters with different backgrounds and traits. But I really do agree that there should be a way to add some of the traits. Or perhaps allow traits to be changed during new game +

    • @neillindgren8992

👍 I agree 100%. I would love it if we could. It might not make sense for “origin traits” like faction origins (it doesn’t make sense to be able to remove them either - either you grew up in the UC, Freestar, or Neon, or you didn’t), but changing religions or being able to buy the player house after the game has started would be great!

    • @Darkfire7881

I picked the player house trait for my first playthough and didn't really vibe with it. So NG+ I removed the trait.
It makes me wish there were some traits that could be picked up.
I agree there need to be some you have to keep and encourage new playthroughs, but maybe a category of minor traits that can be picked up and dropped at any time

Along with what y'all mentioned, it'd be nice if they added in a "radio" to the game. They could get around the travel time of radio waves by making a fetch quest related to finding old earth music and doing it mix tape style like Star Lord. I'd also like to see more old earth items in the game. More weapons, nasa items, and earth/luna locations. I think there could be so much more to do in the Sol system.

I love that you can hail other ships and sell your stuff to them. The high ship traffic outside popular worlds adds to the immersion, but the fact that you can sell to most of them including Trade Authority ships who will buy stolen and contraband stuff is useful. Once I discovered that I’ve never had serious issues selling stuff other than contraband, but The Den and Red Mile sort that out. Easier still if you get shielded cargo and a frequency jammer at Red Mile.

About Vulture's Roost. In the "bedrooms" and another place or two, there is a lot of contraband, so as a smuggler or pirate you can go loot the place and then apparently when the place resets the contraband does too, so it's a perfect place to raid every so often to get a bunch of contraband at once. Also can't wait for the Scientist explorer. I recently did an exploration-focused Xenobiologist playthrough who, mostly, focused on quests without a combat focus, and only did surveying, transports, helping civilians and exploring. Kinda a Constellation build. I would use Photo Mode to take pics of creatures up close as a part of my Xenobiology background. Very fun playthrough. IMO. Also, I would do the quest/radiant quests in Cydonia where the Mining business guy who has you clean out heatleeches gives you things to liberate from hostiles, so he can sell, BUT I would use a Disruptor to knock everyone out and just grab the stuff. Non-lethal but still spiced things up. Tons of other things but you get the idea.

What I'd really love to see is an option to partially re-make your character after each NG+. Change your appearance, name, traits and your background. The only backgrounds you can change to are the ones you already have the skills for. You take no skill penalties for choosing a new background. Also since this is a NG+ overhaul, add in new traits. Include an ability to get random traits assigned with each NG+ if you want to roll the dice and take a chance.

There is another factor in stealth called gravitic composites available ONLY in armor research. This apparently does stack with concealment, but I still haven't found if it stacks with chameleon or not. It is a good substitute if you can't find chameleon gear.

Had all mine stored at an outpost. But after the Vultures Roost fight I collected all my contraband and went to the Den. Just under 200,000 credits worth in total. Took a while sitting in the chair to reset the Den. So next time if I remember I’ll have to find this Parma planet vendor to try. That 200k credits will last ten minutes at the ship builder lol

Just worth noting the Hornets nest mod can only be added to the 3 weapons you mentioned, Coachman Shotgun, Negotiator Heavy and Bridger heavy.
Shame really, it is absolutely my favourite mod and a game changer. You do need to be aware of splash radius or you will put yourself into a world of hurt, but my coachman is my absolute go to when clearing bases and boarded ships. Haven't been lucky enough find an extended mag one yet.
I would say though as the skills and mods carry over with NG+ it is totally worth it to invest in maxing out your research for both weapon and armor mods given that both can turn what appears to be worthless items into something that can carry through with ease before you find that one elusive upgrade the RNG gods smiled on.

A tip I've discovered but not shared yet: Scopes are BS for sniping because there is a built in 'wobble' effect that perks diminish. Much better to just use the scanner to line your crosshair up on the target's blue outline, don't move your aiming controller ( I use a keyboard and mouse ) and then switch to your weapon and take the shot 'off the hip' as it were. Works way better than any sights or scopes I've used. Very seldom is anything out of range for this technique, even for just pistols.

Fun melee combo I found, combat sliding towards enemies makes you hidden momentarily. Melee power attack in that brief moment and you get an easy sneak attack. I had rank 4 concealment by the time I found it so not sure if that's why it works. Also if you contact the enemy it won't count as a sneak attack, swords seemed more reliable their range makes it easier to strike without running into the enemy.

Excellent side quest/activity. Have played through it 4 different times on various characters. Each time I obtained the activity while doing a different bounty from one of the bounty boards. Top credit haul for all the gear, ship, and contraband I acquired was nearly $100k creds. Last time, on my most recent character, I played it at night, which was a different experience. It took 6 rest cycles at the Den to sell all my contraband. I happened to have the 4 shot hornet's nest coachman on that go. Made it almost too easy! Keep up the great content creation. It's actively painless and easy if you grab one or two ranks of Nuerostrikes first... The reason why is hitting knocked out enemies count as sneak crits, even if you are detected. So you can knock someone out, crouch, then spam punches til they die. Most of the time it will take multiple sneak crits to kill on unconscious enemy, so it just makes the requirement for Concealment fly by.

I've learned that one of the best ways to grind xp is actually to simply fly to every planet/moon in every system and dogfight every spacer and pirate you come across as you do it. Xp+piloting levels+credits.. it's my favorite new way to level my piloting to C-class, instead of using the UC flight simulator which quickly becomes so repetitive and pointless because you're not gaining xp or credits while you do it. I usually do this with the Razor leaf from the Mantis quest. Or simply purchase particle weapons for whatever ship you're using and you should be ok. You can get credits as rewards from UC and Freestar for the assist and by looting the wreckages. Also, every system is leveled, like alpha centauri-1, tau ceti-15.. in accordance to the average level of enemy encountered in each system.. the higher the level of system, the more xp for simply visiting it. I scan each planet/moon as well so I know which planet/moon I've already visited. Simply one of the most efficient level grinds with no exploits.

Comm relays have been my method with marriage and food buff. Make outposts more meaningful with rgb legendary crafts on armor and weapons. Make trait finding more meaningful on planets and make outpost survival for zombies (terrormorphs.)

The bar in vultures Roost makes no sense because there is no airlock how are they supposed to drink alcohol, go to the bathroom and comfortably sleep in the bedrooms if they have to wear space suits the whole time?

It's because the vultures roost is nothing but a deserted ecliptic garrison, a procedural generated building but this one is named because it can be tied to a quest. Because this is nothing but copy and paste, in some planets not having an airlock makes sense

Honestly I went straight for weapon modification rank 4 and special projects rank 1. The AA-99 in semi-auto with a scope, suppressor, AP rounds, and an explosive effect is an absolute mid range monster. Especially with the stabilizing barrel and stock. The sway, even without the sniper perk, is next to nothing, and the reticle is perfect for headshots.

  • @joemama114

I found out a few weeks ago unfortunately that many of the best sneak attack ranged weapons gain 0 benefit from rank 1 or 2 of concealment.
The X2.5 and X3 damage is a flat REPLACEMENT of your weapons built in hidden sneak attack damage multiplier value, this is normally X2 for guns and X3 for melee weapons.
"Snipers" or semiautomatic scoped rifles have a base sneak attack multiplier of X3 to begin with, as do many good sniping pistols.
That's why if you get this perk at rank 1 and make a melee sneak attack you don't deal 4x more damage than you were doing before, you deal 33% more damage.
You increase X3 to X4, a solid 33% increase but you don't deal X12 the weapon damage. If it worked that way, at rank 4 you'd deal a whopping X30 damage which doesn't happen.

I made a combat medic who was an empath, introverted and a uc native. she spent years as a combat medic working with the UC and eventually joined the Vangaurd, bringing her scientific knowledge to the cause. upon dealing with vae victus and using her empath ability to discover his true nature he pointed out her hypocrisy of someone who has killed just as many in the path to save those from the terromorphs. after finishing her mission she returned to her medical vows of swearing to do no human harm, and now spends her days incapacitating her human foes with a nova disruptor, becoming a total pacifist and focusing on the cultivation of human outposts and scientific pursuits in zoology and Zeno science. I miss the xp from human kills but it's been the most rewarding role play experience yet, particularly with the empath trait dialogues and using introvert with Vasco as a companion

Ignition Beams are bugged and don't work right.
They do light enemies on fire, but the damage they do is low single digits, making the mod effectively useless.
As far as I know, all the other weapon mods that do additional damage work like they should except ignition beams.
Also, stealth in Starfield also includes audio detection. The heavier you are, the easier you are to detect.
This includes items in your inventory, so if you're looking to be stealthy, it's best to clear out an enemy base first, and then go around looting after, as each item that adds weight makes you easier for enemies to detect.

In regards to the Chamilion Effect and Consealmenr, there's an annoying glitch that causes us to stay invisible if your crouched while going through a Load Door. Even while standing. Plus, sense Sneak is broken anyway, there's no benefit.
Also, also unless you have a scoped weapon, it's super tough to get a beat on your targets while aiming, due to the Reflex and Iron Sites also being invisible.
I also had an issue with the Highlight Effect of curtain sights not turning off. Even if I wasn't aiming. As someone that's Red-Green Color Blind that same effect made it difficult to see if targets were genuinely hidden behind cover. As on some maps the machines, clutter and floor textures often times seemed to be the same color, to me.

I've also crouched in the middle of a firefight and the enemies suddenly wonder where I've gone. For real, it's totally OP.

For selling items, there is 7+ merchants on neon, some have 11,000+ credits each, plus the kiosk at the spaceport, olus ships in orbit you can sell to.. so 60,000+ credits plus, with zero time sitting on a stool at all, and you can fast travel right into neon..
With the civilians outpost, you have to walk there, and would have to wait 11+ times IF they had 5000 credits... Plus even at level 30 i can mod guns to sell for more then 5000 each (value is 40,000+), so can't sell at an outpost.

The Chameleon effect is odd as here is the info from Skill fix mod. "The chameleon effect from armor is specifically coded to be less effective after you get the rank 3 Concealment skill. It gives 50 points of camouflage if you don't have the perk, and 20 points if you do. Concealment gives 50 points as well. 2 stacks of Chameleon without the perk would put you at 100 points, which is presumably total invisibility. 2 stacks with the perk would only put you at 90.

I spent about an hour looking for the $5k civilian outpost vendor last night between Bessel and Benus and had no luck. Tried an again and finally was able to find one on Bessel in about 20-30 min. Only problem is this vendor’s booth is wide and there’s 5 stools spanning it. Being in the middle won’t reach each end he randomly warps to after each hour reset so I have time get up from sitting every $10-15k or so. Totally fine but wondering if there’s one that’s better.

Hey, fudge muppet I think i have an interesting es6 concept that I think you might find interesting that just came to my mind. I'm sorry, I know this is a starfield video, but I didn't want to forget it, lol. Anyways, I was thinking, what if es6 had the daggerfall covenant reformed, or their was a quest about aiding it to be reformed. Especially if it takes place in both hammerfell and highrock and if skyrim was still in the middle of a civil war or independent during the events of es6 it would certainly be an interesting aspect of the game and definitely a power house of tamriel. The only thing I thing about it is where idk if another daggerfall Covent could be reformed is the fact that the crowns and forebears are at odds again and idk if the orcs would go for it again but I would be interested to hear or see your thoughts on it

here’s something i haven’t seen anybody talk about. You can buy condos, earn a penthouse, buy one, and choose a home. But you have no way of decorating it besides manually placing miscellaneous items within it. Which takes up a fuck load of time and overall, isn’t worth it. I wish they would add something similar to fallout 3’s system where they had someone you could pay to interior decorate your home.

Oh, and the most overpowered weapon has got to be the Advanced Urban Eagle. You can get that immediately. There is a guaranteed drop in the procedurally generated location of a helium refinery with three turrets, a computer that controls them, and a Master locked door in that room. You don’t need any lock picking to get the gun because you can go around to the other side. It’s inside the structure on a rock next to a health pack. You can get it immediately when you start the game and even though it’s not legendary it is a one hit kill for almost any enemy in the game in the early game even on very hard, though legendary enemies and big bads like terrormorphs will sponge up a couple rounds before biting the dust.

Alright I have a question and I can't find anyone else looking into it and I don't have the resources in game to do it myself or the time to gather them. So, we know there are "special", ship parts like the White Dwarf 3015 with special modifiers that don't show up in the in game stats. What other special parts are there and what are their secret modifiers? Is it any part which has a series number ending in 5 when they usually end in 0? Is it parts that require level 4 Starship Design. Or is the White Dwarf 3015 the only one?
