Thanks for this video and the HQ close up footage of this because I'm just about to put in a replacement in my 2010 FWD, exact same I think. Had a 2011 4WD last year, transmission blew at 240k, bought this used FWD one and I got 11 months and 40k miles out of it. Same exact issue, sudden transmission failure. Checked solenoids and they all engage. So I got a JDM 60k miles used one coming for $950 shipped, so if it's easy to get in there and hooked up, get ECU relearned, runs and drives, not too shabby. Question though, I was just going to take off the front support brace like you do and jack it down with a floor jack. You think I can get away with doing that? I don't think it weighs more than like 180lbs max so if there is clearance I think I can manage
@@mechanicgray Thanks! I was doing some research on the fluid, was just going to go with Valvoline MaxLife, supposedly WS compatible. Hopefully I can get away with that? It's just that it's 10% of the cost of the transmission I bought for the expensive Toyota WS fluid lol and I would've needed to order it short notice.
WELCOME! Hope this helps someone. Please like and Subscribe. Sorry about the audio.
Excellent video buddy....too much to do myself lol
@@w800w7 Thank you. Yes it's a big job.

@@markbtw7987 a floor jack should work fine to lower the trans. 👍 And make sure you are putting the correct fluid in it when your done.

@markbtw7987 Just make sure it says on the back of the bottle that it is compatible.
