Wow! I grew up in Salcha! Small world. I worked at the store back in the 80’s when I was a teenager. And, I owned a 1945 GPW in the 90’s. I painted it red.
I know where some 6x6's are . I spent 4 summers getting people to haul off the cars to get them. Then the owner sold the land. Someone later hauled the 49 gmc wrecker i was planning on getting.
Good Score and fun story. Hard to believe the guy drove to Alaska in an Willy's MB. Nothing better then a Jeep "Hanging" around. 🤭👍

Awesome!
That green bracket laying on the floor is for holding the top bows
Very nice project.
Amazingly solid body!
That's a pretty good MB tub
I have a 1950s Jeep frame that will probably work for that body.
I'd be interested in a frame, if you'd consider letting it go, please shoot me an email at rattymuscleak@gmail.com
Sounds good 👍
Huh, this never showed on my FB marketplace feed 😐
I'm in Alaska too
I have a 1942 Jeep GPW

Dang that's a shame the property got sold, I assume the new owner isn't willing to sell?
