One of my favorite TFF verses. I remember being a teenager and my neighbor down the road called me on my landline phone (no mobiles then) and said Come quick! There's a new TFF video on Mtv right now!! I said What?!!! (I didn't have cable)..so I ran like the wind down the road and jumped through his front door and ran to the tv and saw Laid So Low from the second verse for the first time! Good time to be a teenager. My all time favorite band...and when I was 20 years old in 1995 a dream came true. I met Roland and got his autograph and a 35mm camera photo with him in an alley in Cincinnati OH as he came out the back door of a small venue to get in a car that was taking him to a radio station for an interview...before a show. They don't make rockstars anymore.
32 years later I'm still amazed by the video.
What another brilliant song from tears for fears! I dont believe a present group is able to make such music and 20 yrs after people like to listen to it! Timeless music !!!

Does anyone know a reason for them never sing this song on their shows?
It was written by Roland about Curt after he left the band ("I wish you were my enemy"). They are friends/partners(?) again, so it probably wouldn't make sense to sing it now.

in 2010 while visiting chile, roland said something about tears for fears, he said that the band is back and what they sing is just the band's, the public asked for a good night song, i was at that concert!
It’s not a “live-song”. Just like Peter Gabriel’s Solsbury Hill and Bowie’s Ashes to Ashes. The studio versions are so perfect and so well produced that you can’t repeat it on a stage without losing some of the magic.
