How things have changed in 10 years. An old white male shoplifter detained for nicking a roll. 2014, COOP`s looted by gangs of armed robbers and the police wont touch them, how very sad and tragic.
Going undercover but being followed by camera crews ahahas 😂 I mean. It suspicious at all tbh! Great job boys do a brilliant job in the uniform but normal clothed I think you need to rethink having cameras following you around and also u stick out like a sore thumb like it’s just so obvious sometimes when ur plain clothed officers. 😊😅
Where my daughter's family live the teens have special training with their rifles. The family are hunters with licenses and my grandchildren have bagged their own game during hunting season.
+Frank Post As a Police Constable in the Uk, i really do not want to be issued a firearm, if we start carrying firearms, then so will the criminal, putting us in more danger. I personally feel that my X26 taser, ASP and Pava is more than capable of subduing someone.
Did you have to get tased by that taser in training or was it optional? I'm just wondering cause I'm thinking about becoming a special next summer, but I would want to get an idea of what type of stuff I have to do in training so I can prepare myself.
Because it goes back to the creation of the modern police officer in 1829, where they'd patrol without carrying a firearm, as this was considered oppressive by the Victorian establishment, as there was strong opposition for the creation of law enforcers. Before this happened Bow Street Runners were routinely-armed, as were town guards & HM customs revenue officers, who patrolled the South West & the public didn't like these forces policing, so the compromise was the unarmed Bobby. The exception was in Ireland as the Royal Irish Constabulary carried a gun routinely like in Europe & later in the RUC & their Reserves ( their version of our specials) carried guns on & off duty because of terrorism. But early bobbies were armed & an example of a runner was in Oliver Twist when the officer shot Bill Sykes.
Can't have anything but respect for these people, special in more than one way.
Respect to specials they risk their lives and don't get paid
Jamie LFC Foster they should be paid
Jamie LFC Foster I agree
Feels weird watching Cambridge as I'm from there
Louisa WOW!!
What a surprise, a Muslim claims he doesn't drink alcohol because of his religion, and is then found to be intoxicated through alcohol.

Where I live a 14 year old with an actual rifle, much less an air rifle wouldn't even raise an eyebrow.

I was raised around weapons and taught respect for them, from an early age. God bless Texas.
so what happened to the air rifle, the way the cops are these days it was most likely given back with a im with a so sorry we took your gun.
I think it was confiscated
It was demolished if a responsible parent didn't claim ownership over it and if it wasn't reported stolen from any hunting establishments.

Why don't all british police officers have a gun? It's much safer! All Dutch police officers have guns too!

Because we don't need them. Gun crimes aren't common enough to warrant having firearms. Tasers are becoming more common place instead.

MattaMatics101 Not sure about a taser but you can opt to be pepper sprayed if you want.
