It's always a good time up in Fairmount, IN. at the James Dean Run. With beautiful weather, 3,000 cars and swap meet this is a "must go to" show! For the Swap Meet footage click onto the video at the end. 👍
Thank you for the memories last time I was at James Dean was 1980 . Loved those mercury then still love them. Really liked that 58 turn pike cruiser. Thanks for the memories.
Yep another good time for sure boy did I like that 49 Mercury at the 18:00 mark had to go back and look at that a few time vary nice and the Rambler at the 23:10 mark can remember my Grandmother had one seams like I was under that car every month fixing something but she loved it so I fixed it for her all the time ,You do get around Tim nice show for sure enjoyed
Hey Tim Man,,ahhh insperation overload,,this is going in the watch later file, thanks for showing this coool video, I'm gonna need a nap after All that,, stay Cool bro later 😎✌️ Glen
First time watching one of your productions and I am impressed with your skills. Just the right amount of time to really show a car - especially the many beautiful Mercs. I also liked how you showed them coming, parked and then going. Lots of great cars!
Hey Tim, thanks for posting this, it really shows just how many good cars were at the James Dean show!! We spent about 6 hours at the Ducktail run on Thursday and we just flat ran out of time to stop at the J/D show! It appears there were more cars at the J/D show, so glad we can see what was there! Thanks again!!
That Mercury at the 6:20 mark should have been awarded Best Mercury of the show. But once again the host club awards it to one of their BUDDYS ! It never changes!
Tim! Its Ray again! Thank you so much for this video! Even though we're modelers, we do go to car shows for inspirations or we own the real things. I've got to tell you that you have a good eye for hot rods, muscle cars and customs! It is very similar to my views doing these videos and hands down , you're the best!!! Keep up the good work! What a coincidence, I also have a black and white James Dean T shirt that I bought in California in the 90s, your shirt is beautiful😎👍
I...think I've fallen in love AGAIN! The black cherry Mercury w/white interior ~took my breath!! (At the intro?) But...They're all PRIMO!!! Thanks, Y'all! Prayers for All!
Very cool cars I've started to look in my area for car shows having a bit more interest now that I'm getting back into models to see real cars LOL thanks for the video and I'm looking forward to the swap meet video. 🙂Thomas over at The Model Hobbyist
Tim: You are really good with your video skills!! Your cinematography, your editing skills, your music choices, your fade ins & outs...are all very good & I'm really impressed!! It all looks very professional!! Looks like a Great show & I'm going to come down from Wisconsin , hopefully, next year. Keep up the great artistic work you do. Don S.
Oh yes, that was VERY cool Tom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a '57 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. After I got home I was thinking I should have done a separate video on just that car. It had amazing factory stock detail that you just don't see on other cars.
It's a great show Bill. They decided to do a show in his name back in the 80's and his grave and child hood home is just down the road. Plus there is a really nice James Dean Museum close by too.
Too quick with the camera . Love to have it slowed down take a little longer so we can get a better look all those beautiful cars. Why chopped and laying on the grass yuk!
Yes there is Kevin....... Playacres Park in Fairmount, Indiana and it's always the last full weekend in September. If you need any more info just ask and I'll try to help. Hope you and your family have a nice Holiday Season!
I am there every year never miss that show been there scents the first started and I have taken different cars but this time I have the one car that I had scents I was 16 years old witch is a 1977 Corvette and I drive it all the way from Florida every year but never with out trouble this time the rear spring broke on the car so I had to put it on a car trailer to bring it back home because this car is all original and the car club I belong to is the NCRS and they don't want it touched so if I have to fix it I have to tell them and let them know what I have to fix on the car and yes it has to be a GM part that the car was made with
No my car is not aloud there its to new for that show they only want pre 1970 cars there I ve been there a very long time ago with a very cool car that once belong to Lucile Ball and Dezi it was in a museum and I got it and took it there from 1994 to 2000 and then I sold that car it was 1955 Pontiac star chef
@@albertpendergraff5720 Oh wow, very cool Albert, how in the heck did you ever get to purchase that Pontiac Star Chief??? And why did you sell it and where is that car now???
I got the car from my buddy and it was in a museum and when I got it I had to do work on it just to make it run and when I was going to a car show with it the push rod went the position and that was the end for engin and one of my friends got the car off me and had to put 30.000 dallors in the car to make it run again he still has the car
I didn't have the money to fix the car so that is why I sold it my George Barris wanted me to keep the car but I had to tell him what happen to it and he said I could not afford to fix it and he ask me what car I was going to take to the James Dean run and I said my grandpa's rambler
First thing I would have done is dump that flathead engine. Those things were terrible for busting blocks and heads. The cooling system was all screwed up.
When I saw the thumbnail pic the first thought that popped into my mind was a remembrance of the following famous quote by Wolfgang von Goethe: "There is nothing more frightening than stupidity in action."
AMERICAN IRON,take the children to the swaps and the car shows, get them to love what you do,its a good life hot rodding and drag strip life, the hot dogs are not too bad either, you guys in the concession, start carrying root beer
