7 eggs that are only 34 years old is definitely not a bad thing to have up your sleeve for future! It's hard to feel that lack of control that comes with this process. I've had an egg collection last week and lucky enough to have 3 good embryos from the process, but now I have ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome which is not particularly fun and have to put off the transfer for a month. I feel like there are always surprises around the corner with this process. Have a fabulous birthday, you've earned it! All the best!
My first egg retrieval was at age 38, and l got 10 high quality eggs, so I think that you are still ahead with the eggs you have and can do another retrieval later if needed while saving that money currently. Unfortunately, as you have learned, often the first round is diagnostic and protocols are tweaked based on what happened previously. Gatorade, protein drinks, and salty snacks can help with recovery after the egg retrieval.
Congrats on making it through the retrieval and getting 7 eggs!! I hope you’re feeling better soon. I don’t think most of us understand that “the first round is diagnostic” sentiment until we experience it. What you’re sharing is hopefully going to help people understand this process better.
I am 43 and 27 weeks pregnant. I got pregnant with home insemination with donor sperm. (At 42) not that this is the norm and I really debated just going straight to IVF. But hopefully that gives you a little hope for your future 2nd child.
Great Canal But 6:22 that is incorrect information mine says at least 20 and still no guarantee if you are 33 (standard info in Germany) Maybe if you want to do a second round, you should consider going to the UK or Denmark Germany it’s cheaper in Europe

Thank you so much! Already feeling better physically and with my decision. I’m so grateful to have 7 eggs to build off of later.
Waiting to hear you are pregnant
