YES. Thank you for mentioning the grieving process. I have birth to my son five weeks ago through a sperm donor and I love him so much, but the grief has been real. It was very strong after I got pregnant and it continues to come up now and then. I’m so grateful you mentioned this. I have my own fairy tale ❤ So happy for you. For others reading this, I did two IUIs at the age of 35 and gave birth to my son Leo two weeks before turning 36. The decision was hard, but also right for me. Thank you again!

I'm so sorry to hear that, but I promise it will be ok. I had to waite 6 months because covid crazyness and ended up with twins at the first try after that. And I was over 40 with them 😂🎉❤ all the best and lots of baby dust!

When my daughter had IUI, she took many pregnancy tests that said negative and she was sure it didn’t work. But then finally one said positive. So don’t let those early negative tests discourage you. You have time on your side. My daughter just turned 38 and she is having a c-section in 10 days. She is also a single mom by choice.

Call it a grace month, treat yourself to something like a pedicure or a massage, fancy sushi or other things like soft cheeses that you'd skip if pregnant. Plan a date with friends that has nothing to do with trying for a baby. Sending good vibes! Even the most progressive fertility clinics seem to say/do cringey things, my pre-IUI blood work request said "query infertility" on it, we are a queer couple who don't make sperm, that isn't infertility. Eye roll. Timed intercourse, come on people, you can do better!

I know this sucks. Try to speak positive thoughts out there. Hoping that the doc will reconsider. On another note, that nurse is foul. Super wrong for them to say that. I know it’s hard, hang in there. You are strong. So strong! And you have a lot of folks cheering you on. ❤

You don’t need to do iuis. I’ve mentioned this before but if you have perfect anatomy and no fertility issues, you can use a clear blue digital ovulation kit. Order your vial to be sent to your home 2 days or so before you expect ovulation and then when you get your peak smiley face on the test, you will know you are having your surge and inseminate the following morning, ovulation day. Iui vials work just as well for at home insemination. I have gotten pregnant just as easily with iui vials as I did with ici vials. ❤

What a bummer. But sometimes that's what your body and mind need is just a little rest and reboot. The potential cancel of a cycle sucks completely. Been there. But I can tell you that little bit of a break away from meds and doctor appointments was so refreshing. Take this time to enjoy your vacation and get back on track in a month. You've got this! I’m so sorry… I understand how hard it is to feel like your clock is ticking and you’re running out of time, only to have something get in the way that wastes more time. It’s absolutely brutal. It took me 6 years to have my first child and three years to get pregnant with the second. The wait is so, so difficult and people don’t get it. It’s weird that he canceled it because you can ware a musk and it’s been while since you first got sick, plus if you’re going in to the place for an appointment tomorrow?! It’s not making sense and you might want to consider a different doctor unless he can give you a reasonable example of why he hast to cancel it, but you can come in for an appointment

Oh man I'm sorry. I totally get the whole living your life in 2 week intervals.It's so hard and stressful. When I was doing IUIs I had a nurse tell me multiple times to also have intercourse when I triggered to just give me extra coverage. Yea um... READ the file lady--- it clearly states that I'm using a donor. It also just makes them look so bad when they say stupid things like that. I'd maybe ask them if you can take some progesterone or something--you can do that to hold your cycle off for a bit, that OR ask your doctor if there's something you can take to help time your next cycle to work out without having to move your trip or delay your next IUI. I'm supposed to do my FET number 6 next week and my daughter has come down with something ---here's hoping she recovers fast and I avoid it all together so it doesn't mess with the last 8 weeks of prep that I've done for this transfer. UGH.
