Then you don't understand the point of hardcore. If you're not going to accept a hardcore death then you need to just stick to regular survival. I'd never play hardcore because I can't fathom putting hundreds of hours into a world only for me to lose it over something incredibly trivial.

I don't think it has anything to do with the console editions of the game. However, the scuffed elytra movement is a bug that must soon be fixed because it can cause issues. As an example, a loss of a hardcore world.
