- In diesem Video baue ich mir einen Powerhammer zum Schmieden.
Ich hatte weder Pläne noch sonstige Anleitungen.
Nachdem ich mir bei verschiedenen RUclipsvideos Inspirationen geholt hatte, habe ich mich an das Projekt gewagt.
Es hat viel Spass gemacht und ich konnte ne Menge dazu lernen.
Mal sehen was ich als nächstes baue.
Jetzt werden auf jeden Fall mal ein paar Messer geschmiedet.

In this Video i build my own powerhammer without any plans.
I only watched a few vids on youtube to get some inspirations.
The build was a lot of fun and i could learn a lot.
Lets see what i am building next.
Now ill forge some knives with my new machine.

In my opinion, you need a stiffer spring. The action at the drive side is going to break the spring. Adding more springs will increase the ram travel action. So in theory more stroke distance = more powerful hit. Great build and good luck

Are you actually getting good penetration on that thick of box tube w/ a wire feed? Wouldn’t STICK be the better/stronger way to go? Unless mig is your only option? Cool design and love the stoutness of it. Just hope the welds don’t break apart from its repeated hammering.
Welds doesnt break. All held well till now. I changed the spring to an stronger one. Now the hammer has a much better penetration as in the Video.

@@mathewsknivesleather9647 the short videos are super easy to make. You can do it all from your phone. Takes about 2 minutes. I've got a bad habit of making shorts instead of full videos, but full videos are alot of work.
