I'm watching this after watching her interview with CBS Sacramento (I think) where the interviewer mistaken her sarcasm for bad attitude. After watching this seems like sarcasm is her way of joking. Some reporter should really research first on the person they are going to interview, instead she called her "Carla".

During my high school years in the 70s there was a girl that all the boys wanted. Long blond hair , the type of woman the beach boys sang about in California Girls.
I met her at a party when were in our mid thirties and I didn’t initially recognise her. Short short hair, tattoos, and metal studs in all parts of her still perfectly structured face. When I asked her what was up with the look her answer was she was sick of being pretty. Haven’t seen her since.

What's funny is the way you described your friend in her 30's sounds a lot more attractive to me than the boring long-haired beach blonde she was in high school. Sounds like she became unique, expressive and individualistic.
I actually ended up here because I watched Valerian on the weekend and I loved it so much I fell for both main characters, and Bubble, Bubble will forever remain in my heart, but anyways, I love both main characters and now I love both lead actors. Cara and Dane.
