I like how Dream was giving advice to Color, and the entire time, he was unaware of exactly who Color's friend was, and the fact that Dream wasn't taking his own advice is funny. Hilarious, actually. It's also funny how Color is feeding Dream information, and told him that he saw Killer with fewer and fewer injuries, and then ONLY at the end, just slammed him with the truth, like eating dessert before being presented with the most disgusting vegetable ever, that might as well be inedible, and when the penny dropped, Dream was like, "Ah, crap, I messed up", and Color hilariously tries to salvage the beyond-repair conversation saying, "Wait, I think you already know him, don't you?..." And it makes you be like, "Too late, dude!" Then Dream is like, "My apologies, I need to go", trying to pretend that Color just didn't give him a huge revelation that was almost impossible to swallow. I also like how Core!Frisk interacts with Dream. Core!Frisk is the wisest character- They've seen everything, and what they don't know isn't worth knowing, so, if anyone is capable of convincing Dream that Nightmare changed, it's them. It's kinda sad, as Dream had every reason to believe that Nightmare didn't see him as a brother anymore, which was reasonable to assume, as Nightmare's corruption made him hostile towards Dream, who couldn't have realized that the corruption was to blame, and not Nightmare himself. I also find it interesting that the corruption is not mentioned at all, heavily implying that nobody knows about it. Anyways, Core!Frisk was right to tell Dream to question his feelings towards his brother. Color was a neutral party, and, thus, wouldn't be influenced by relationships with anyone else, and had nobody to order him to hide anything. I also like how Core!Frisk only was present for as long as they were needed, no more, and no less, like a figure of wisdom, who's always the voice of reason, and leaves when their job is done. The moral here is that we should all learn from our mistakes. But what if the wrong lesson is learnt? Dream was right to assume what he did, as Nightmare never appeared to be able to change. However, Dream failed to take Nightmare's corruption into account, and failed to realize that part of the Nightmare he knew and loved was still present. They just never showed themselves until recently, and, now that they did, Dream realizes that he learnt the wrong lesson, which is sad, considering he acted reasonably, and it's hard to blame Dream to think what he did about Nightmare, considering what he knew about him.
I have a feeling yet another family issue might be solved soon, and i am really excited for it! I just want Dream and Nightmare to get along, and have some bonding time, they need to work out their relationship, and also a *HUGE* ass break. Good thing that Dream managed to make Color see that the possibility of change happening is slowly but surely showing itself. However, Dream really needs to take his own advice sometimes, but i suppose that is what we have friends, allies and other people around us for, to help see the wrongs and rights, which we cant see or understand ourselves.
I guess I can agree with everyone deserving a second chance if they prove they can change, but I also think they should earn that second chance by putting *effort* into earning it, like just because he changed doesn't make up for a lot of Nightmares actions towards Killer, Dream, and others, like just because he stopped doing those things doesn't mean they didn't happen and that he shouldn't put effort into apologizing and forming a better relationship with them. Also, about Nightmare, Color, and Killer, gotta admit it reminds me of quite a few family members I know who have been in bad relationships of various kinds, and I certainly know how bad it hurts to see someone you care about in a relationship like that and not understanding why they don't leave but still respecting their choices and doing what you can to support them, but also never fully trusting the one who hurt them ever again.
