Yo for 8 years I never noticed that.
This was definitely of the more unique boss fights I had for the time. I mean having a boss that you literally can't stay too close to without getting stun locked but with everything else being equal. I'm just glad that the headaches didn't cause you to lose health too. That would make it much harder than it needs to be.
In fact, if you lose life, I once managed to stay on the roof of a small room on that stage, and left Spiderman still, and every time the animation of Peter clutching his head appeared,Life was reduced a little

As a kid this boss battle PISSED ME OFF so much and I think I cried at one point. I used to adore this game but this boss battle just caused me so much grief

I never did the boss battles for this game as a kid, I always got my dad to do them for me
But a few years passed, I turned about 12 I believe and played through the entire game on my own
This fight was MUCH easier than the Silver Sable fight
The silver surfer fight was such a pain.
The amount of tears I spent on this boss fight will never be forgotten

One of my favorite designs for Venom. I loved this game. Just never got to unlock the Black Suit. That last race against The Human Torch I could never beat!
I hated this level as a kid. It was so hard at the time
Same here! Those headaches get in the way and made it impossible to beat
The one that I really hated was the final race with the fire guy (can't remember his name).
Till this day, I haven't beaten that one, and probably won't.

Why is Spider-Man's head killing him?
Because of Venom, when he near him
Venom is usally imune to Spideys Spider-Sense. But in the "Ultimate Spider-Man" story line, Venom triggers the spider-sense immensley. So the revert.
Cause venom was made from spiderman's blood or from his dad to be more exact.
In the context/story for this particular game, Spiderman had used the suit before Eddie and it left behind cells/samples of itself in his blood. These cells what to rejoin with the suit. So whenever Venom gets close to him, it's causing him pain through his Spidey Sense as the cells try to reintegrate into Venom.
@@captainfabsy1000 Yeah...I wasn't really paying paying attention to the details when I first saw it (mostly focused on trying to find ways to play it) so it flew right past me that the Rhino was smart in this Universe instead of being dumb.

@@ericdxfan511 I personally liked carnage. Cletus Cassidy was literally just the joker but not as funny and without a Batman. And the only thing wrong with venom is the missing symbol
he gets the white spider when he absorbs carnage from peter later on the game, then the suit is complete and eddie has "master control" of it
