Wow just seeing this out of the box ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
wow, he makes it look easy. A few of my spots are similar: I have phragmites twice my height to back-cast over. I'm often forced to straight arm it, and I deal with a good amount of tailing loops. The note about the swift lift to absolute stop is a good point. Maybe one day I'll cast as smoothly as this fella.
*Overall **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I feel the Shadowfire 360 offers excellent value for those who are new to tenkara and don't want to break the bank on their first rod purchase.*
Anybody who fishes this type of stuff…please, PLEASE check yourself for ticks every time and check closely. I got Lyme disease back in 2004 and I’m telling you, you don’t want that noise in your life. You have to look closely, preferably in a brightly lit bathroom. Waders definitely help that situation but you still need to check, man…
This was a great vid..very new ti fly fishing ..I tryed other day for first time..I was in the trees ..but I've never been taught..so I'm going up to orvis in May to learn the basics...if I'm using a stock rod with the fly line on it that came with it ..do I need different line to use wet Flys? Didn't seem like my Flys were getting down where it needed to be..I was in a big river ..I guess I'm just really unsure of things. ..And I'm trying to learn on my own ...kinda hard just watching vids...cant correct my mistakes if I don't know wat they are..🤷♂️love it tho..cant wait to learn properly..🎣🐟🤙🙏
I think it's important that you load the first small cast (splash?) by anchored the line on😃 the water surface, so yo have more power to reach out on the river??
You rock your your forearm to much !!! Cast from your shoulder!!! Leaving your forearm forward and by moving your shoulder on a slide ! This is how you do your steeple cast.
@@BrookieCooki84 I don't have to because I just told you how to do it correctly! So What do you think ,having a you- tube video makes you a expert? I don't think so ! Try what I say and you will see a amazing affect on you loop !!! Thanks for your comment!!! 👍
@@jamesbrede8700 what's the loop? im just starting fly fishing and trying to learn all I can. Is the loop a type of cast or something. I just know the basic casts and the bow and arrow technique
This is for me one of the useful fly casting video because it can help in many situations. Thank you
Well thanks for the tips definitely helps a beginner fly fisherman
I'm new at this also...looks like in tight situations you could also use the "bow and arrow" cast.?

How has life been after it? Do you still get affected?

Aqui no Brasil a vegetação é muito densa, tenho dificuldade em fazer fase cast, geralmente uso roll cast.
Parabéns pelo canal, ótimos videos.

Curious as to what your rod set up in this video was.
Also curious what kind of head was shooting out with such a technique, given that he spoke of a longer leader...

Hey Dave. great video! What are your goto orvis wet wading pants?
I’d like to see a video of what Dave carries in that backpack of his,
One bootle of milk
A bag of toilet paper
3 pair of socks
And some hair products to look good in da stream
Beautiful brown 🔥🔥🔥
Wow! How on earth did you convince that salmon to cooperate with you for that video? Nice team effort!
Was he roll casting?
Great video thanks. How long is your leader?
What’s the rod length and wt?
Awesome video!!
Damn if I try that then I’ll have about a hundred ticks on me !!
And down here in the south about 1,000,000 chiggers to add!
Very nice thanks
I love this dude
didn't get a thing
Could see the line pass
👍
OMG, you rushed the video on that huge trout you caught! Barely got a glimpse of it.
Some days if it wasn’t for catching trees I wouldn’t catch anything.
If you didn’t have to duck to get near the water, it’s not “heavy brush.”
Just smokes a monster too
Not with 40 dollar reel rod combo lol
Need a better camera person , can’t even see the demonstration

Why don’t you go make a video about it then? This guy is a class act.
