Enjoy your videos. I’m probably one of the few that knew those facts. Here is a fact that not many know is that the 87-88 Jordan is rarer than his rookie counterpart.

awesome! as a 10 year old in 1986 i pulled (3) of these MJ rookies out of wax packs from my Mom. unfortunately they are gone and have been 38 years. im actively shopping for one but these sellers need to realize its not 2021 anymore. i can hold out to save a few bucks. that is the only card missing from that set. I did manage to build the whole card and sticker set without #57 so it's been on my radar. Decade of Excellence MJ is currently sitting in the set as a place holder

Holy smokes, very nice! It’s also good to see another Decade of Excellence placeholder guy out there! Haha!

Enjoy the series, very nice facts and discussion, David!
Opened ‘87-88 Fleer packs as a kid and got the Jordan, and have since rebought it, but have only dreamed about owning a rookie. Someday!

Nice! I’m on the hunt for an ‘88 Jordan. I’m kinda thinking of hunting down all the base Jordans from his playing years. I need to jump on that ‘87 one!

I got my PSA 9 copy out of 70 dollar pack in 1990. Perfect corners, just southwest centered a hair. My friend had bought five with no luck, so i figured my odds got a little better. Cost me 12 bucks to get it graded in 1998.

Great information! I've never owned an 86 Fleer Jordan. I bought a rare 1984 Star RC in 2000 from a popular shopping network channel. However, it was determined that the cards were fake. After some time, I was refunded for their error. The cards were sent back and destroyed. Thanks for sharing 😊

Back in 1986 I sold & bought sports cards as a hobby. The 1986 Fleer Basketball was not very popular then compared to baseball and football. I remember seeing lots of these boxes on dealers tables going unsold. Shame that I left my crystal ball at home then. Nothing wrong with owning the decade of excellence card.
