Her best rapping for me is in the song Influencer.. It's a great song with a magic video in a very cool location.. Do more Band-maid.. it's good for the soul...
@@TherealSeriousMoonlight It's the part of that track that I don't like. The rapping is fine with me, but I wish they didn't put the electronic stuff myself (honestly, that goes for a lot of Japanese bands). A lot of Japanese bands use drum machines nowadays in some parts even though they have great drummers and that's not a sound that works for me with guitars. Btw, I'm not saying it's "bad", I understand why people like it, but it generally turns me off. Gacharic Spin is one of the few bands where their electronic sounds generaly work for me, Hanabie works as well although they are using it a bit too much on some of the tracks off of their new album. I do think Influencer and I guess Blooming are good tracks to check out although I would not say Saiki is rapping in Blooming. She is just singing quickly and Japanese is a very rhythmic language.
It was just announced that the Band-Maid 10th anniversary tour finale at Yokohama will be live-streamed. Get your streaming ticket now before they’re all gone. 😀
I pick up something new every time I see this MV, so many references to their career to date. Speaking of which, the band just announced that the 10th Anniversary concert on 26th November at Yokohama Arena will be live streamed! That ticket will be the best value ¥4500 I'll spend this year, don't miss it!
“Influencer.” That’s your next mission if you choose to accept it. If you like Saiki’s percussive delivery and wonder if she’s capable of rap? 😉 First, I want to thank you for your insight and comments about this song. I’ve heard it plenty, but not the way you described. Now I can hear the grunge and punk. Short story on Influencer’s influence on the fandom: I was in a hotel elevator and noticed a guy in there wearing a Band Maid t-shirt. I took a chance and said “Chit chat, chit chat!” He had a huge smile and high -fived me saying “Chit chat! Chit chat!” After you guys hear “Influencer,” you’ll understand
The “Unleash!!!!!” anime seems to show the black cloud of covid enveloping the world and depressing the F out of everyone, including B-M members, who'd fought against their cancelled tours, including a Budokan concert, by performing live and streaming the concerts worldwide (bless them for that). The Little Pigeon seems to energise the band to keep playing this way for now...but then a second wave of darkness appears and even Miku can't get everyone together again. Then it seems that Saiki becomes the strong centre for the band and, while all except Saiki look lost as the live shots start, the other members seem to be inspired by how Saiki keeps fighting through and this energises the other band members to start playing again, with people around the world watching on various screens. Then, for the final piece of anime, the ladies use their hypodermic-shaped spaceship to blast away the covid cloud and save the world. Or it all means something else entirely!
Never in my life would I ever have thought that Dan Dan Di Di Dan Dan would become a delicious earworm. BAND -MAID just so, so next level. Best of luck with the releases gents, looking forward to hearing them. Okay I'm off to the Courthouse to change my first name to Dan and last name to Dan Di Di Dan Dan , cheers 👍🍻🍻
“So, we are holding up the flag. YAKUSOKU SURU KARA, welcome Next New World.” It gets me every time. The UNLEASH video tells the story of how Covid cast a shadow across the world and interrupted BAND-MAID’s campaign for World Domination, and how they soon regrouped to move their campaign to the Internet which they used to stay in touch with old fans and also find many new fans. It also shows us that KOBATO is a small pigeon.
There is a "white room" instrumental version out there with Saiki's vocals strppied out. It really lets you hear all the stuff going on in the layers that you don't normally hear with Saiki's vocals on top.
10th Anniversary concert on 26th November at Yokohama Arena will be live streamed! That ticket will be the best value ¥4500 which comes out to $29.66 USD. I am going for a slightly higher priced option so I can watch it unlimited times for a month. I did the same for the Xmas Acoustic.
I was one off the rail right between MISA and Miku and they nailed this one. That little Zemaitis is one tough bird because she was playin' the hell out of that thing. If you can squeeze in Die Spitz "Hair of Dog", I think you'll like it. Texas ladies rock too!
Band-Maid saves the world from the darkness ! Not only are they saving the world from Covid they saving it from stale music ! Thanks Band-Maid / Great Reaction Guys
"One for each band-member". That's a very insightful observation Offset Era!!! It's a quirk of Japanese English that they treat punctuation as a medium for artistic expression. Well, Miku does anyway. Also upper and lower case letters. I wouldn't like it from a native English speaker, but it's fun to watch something almost like a new dialect emerging.
Another great reaction! It is so fun to see how you react to the different musical parts. You really appreciate their musicianship! Another song where she "raps" is Influencer. I recommend the MV. :)
I love that Misa takes a sip from a flask in the animated part. So accurate. And my hair stands on end every time I hear Kanami's solo in this song. Love it.
Saiki Atsumi does have several songs (that I know of) with 'rap' segments. I think the best example would be 'Influencer' from the same album as "Unleash!!!!!".
That's not a keyboard solo. That's Kanami's guitar through a pitch shifter or an Octaver. It give her a sort of 8-Bit MIDI Video Game Music Tone. She's used that quite a bit lately. Saiki does some more rapping in 'Blooming' and 'Influencer'. But, since you guys are into Thrash, you might want to check out their song 'Rinne'. There's a LIVE version and an OMV. The LIVE version is pretty goo, though the OMV, like 'Blooming' is the superior version, though it's a little washed out and grainy because like the Japanese Horror Movie it takes it's name from, it was shot on 8mm film. It's them playing in a house that's either abandoned or under construction, which also gives it a creepy vibe.
Band-Maid of late has this certain phenomenon thing going regarding their more progy-punk hard rock and Anime written tunes. These songs are hard, complex and will totally grow on you like a thousand pound R&R leech. The Maids in this format are relentless and powerful. Their new “AniMaid” (anime) Covid-fighting "Unleash!!!!!" MV and new battle gear is exciting, meaningful and classy! As Maidiacs report: Maid Music will continue to dominate the world until everyone succumbs in ecstasy to its brilliant and undeniable forces!!!!! 💥🎀💥 Thx, Chris & Sam!
Here's a live version from their show in Detroit earlier in the year. Audio might need a bit of a tweak on your end, but still sounds pretty good. I was there and it was a great show, crowd was in it from the start. This song was song number 19 out of 22 that night! ruclips.net/video/v2yyRcMMhG8/видео.html
I always enjoy watching videos. It's very meaningful because you can reaffirm the goodness of the music and get a new feeling. Next time, I would be happy if you could react to "RINNE".
They're just stupidly good. It's annoying in the best way possible. You wondered what was next, Unleash!!!!! Welcome to...whatever this is. So many genres, such good melodies. Added bonus in this one: Anime avatar embodiment of absolute greatness. As if reality wasn't good enough already. Unleash is one of my favorites so I'm happy to see you guys on it. More Band Maid!
I thought that the part you said was keyboard was the guitar thru a Electro harmonix POG. But you're probably right. Kanami does play keys on some tracks in the studio.
This band have some problems, so many albums released and reaction, and yet nobody cares, 1, some of the band hardcore fans are snob, 2- their fans insist they are a metal band, 3- Miku is way more popular than the vocalist, even i cant remember the vocalist name...
Her best rapping for me is in the song Influencer.. It's a great song with a magic video in a very cool location.. Do more Band-maid.. it's good for the soul...
The best part of her _rap_ in "Influencer" is the synth beat underneath it. So odd for Band-Maid but so appropriate for the moment in the song.
Blooming has a sort of rap in it. Anyway its a great song.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 Yes really like her vocals in Blooming, actually the whole song is just a Band-maid Masterpiece;

It translates as bit by bit. That is how to take over the world. Bit by bit.
@@sacluvsBM Thanks for that, roll on world domination 😄👍🍻
The Saiki rap in Influencer is awesome, and as a Misa fan I also love the bass and the little details in this video like Misa with her hip flask 😄

Not keyboard ... Kanami uses Eventide H9 (0) Harmoniser extensively of late 😁
Correct. There is no keyboard harmed in the making of Unleash!!!!!
Yeah, its her cool new toy.

Influencer has an actual rap part by Saiki. Saiki is also a fan of Sailor Moon so the reference at the end was totally apt.
I've seen them play this song live 28 times. I really like the studio version but like the commenter said, Live it hits so hard.. Just blows you away.

Saiki-rap? Blooming and Influencer
Ahh Man Saikis first look at 3:43 the Demon Slayer Vibes 😍Just Love it and of cause all these Eastereggs in the Track . For Rap : Influencer !
Kanami has said the Miku is better than her at fast chugging on the guitar. More rap style singing on Influencer.

Saiki rapping? Influencer!

The black fog they are battling in the video is suppose to represent COVID which kept messing up their plans.
