18:12 just a little tip for realism, in Europe we always indicate when coming off the roundabout even if we go straight
As a European, sometimes it's funny for me how you are trying to manage some roundabouts and route systems. You have it way easier there in the US (from what I've seen and played ETS2 and ATS), great video, can't wait for this DLC. Keep it up :)
They have it easier when it comes to road quality. But Europeans have it easier when it comes to the actual trucks. In Europe you can just sit there and let the truck do everything for you (change gears for you, keep in lane for you, detect road blocks and alternative routes for you, stop for you in an emergency, etc).
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior That's true but I feel like the American trucks are more interesting and also the drivers have higher comfort. Hence the truck stops and how big the sleepers are.

Road quality is atrocious in the us though. And the roundabout system, at least for regular cars are easy to navigate and way safer. At least the data Supports it. And it's not that hard to navigate. I've went on roundabouts in Arizona and oregon. Not difficult at all when you learn from a video. Unfortunately the driving tests don't cover roundabouts and americans go completely insane when they come to one. But back to road quality. The roads have so many pot holes and are pretty rough. Even in downtowns of huge cities. I'd say the road quality is better than my experiences in ukraine. But worse than france. That's absolutely no excuse for the richest country in the world. And Iive in this mismanaged country. Although these spanish roads do seem kinda confusing. And I've driven all over europe in ets2. This might just be an Iberian thing.
@@WAncouvOR Yeah Iberia is quite crazy ngl. Even as a European I struggled sometimes. But yeah if they would cover roundabouts in the US people would have a different opinion about them than they do.
I am a truck driver in Spain and you are virtually funny driving a truck on Spanish roads, our cities are very old, some are more than a thousand years old and that is why everything is very narrow
Same with our capital in Denmark, people forget that alot of those roads weren't made for cars :-D

The thing with SCS that I love the most is that every DLC they put out is better than the previous one. No wonder then that ETS2 has been going strong for nearly 9 years now with no signs of letting up, and ATS is on the same track.

Walking mode would be excellent in this game, especially if that's how you had to attach and detach the trailers on the 5th wheel and operate the legs on the trailers. Immersion would be complete then
Walk around to fill up both fuel tanks too would be great
And to attach the hoses and cables and raise or lower the trailer legs
08:00 we've all had to do this at least once in Europe ourselves so no worries. It's a classic maneuver: Miss your exit, get of on the next one and re-enter the opposite way. It's a rite of passage :D
Roundabouts are simple, just stay in the right lane as a truck and go for the exit u want. You don't want to move over on a roundabout with a truck. (this is what u get learned with getting a trucking license here in the Netherlands)
Wondered why the Dutch drivers always stay in the left lane and then cut across traffic turning right here in the uk. Most uk roads will have filter arrows for different directions. If the arrows show left or straight on that’s the way u go. If it shows right and u are turning right, get in the right lane. Don’t shoot round to the right when your in the left lane. Cars on your inside could be going straight ahead as per the road markings
This might be a crazy question but how the hell do you start the Iberia DLC? 🤦♂️ It's my only DLC for this game but for the life of me where is it in the menu? When I start a game there is no option and I am not in Spain. Yes the DLC is installed! 😂

Nice first look video! It would be great to see more ETS2 videos from you. The merging issues from AI could be down to coded rules on the yield signs, some may have the wrong rule which causes AI to brake hard on ramps. In Iberia they are probably correct but older areas maybe need some updates.

I'm excited for Iberia and I will buy it. The people from SCS software worked for more then a year on this dlc. In the south from Spain you can take a ferry towards Morocco in real life, so it will be nice if you can drive towards Morocco in the future! Germany is completely rebuilded with the 1.40 update.

I started in ATS went to ETS2 for a year or so and then never had any desire to go back. I deleted it a few months ago. I enjoy being able to just drive along in ATS and not having to swerve wildly, brake suddenly to avoid some idiot or a stupid roundy-round... It was fun for a while, but I don't miss it.
The driver in your profile looks like Joe Walsh from The Eagles, if he had a beard and moustache and was having a bad day (maybe too much "Life in the Fast Lane"?).
Fastest way to get money (without finding a modded profile) is to buy garages and trucks and hire drivers. As days pass, the money will be rolling in, hand over fist.

FYI even if you're going straight you're supposed to use your right blinker when exiting a roundabout to signal to the cars coming in that they can enter safely, a lot of people don't, but you're supposed to
Walking mode is well overdue. I’d love to be able to fuel up, connect trailers and lines outside the cab - even if it’s just the same button click.

For the walking around in the game world, I think SCS has explained that before in their blog a while back when they first introduced the walk around in the garage, it may not be possible for them to do that now cause it might be too late. But if they manage find a way to add it to ATS/ETS 2 that would be a miracle.
I did this job for many years, from around '83 I was driving all over Europe and visited Spain many times. You're doing the job better than me Jeff! Ha Ha.
Here's a quick explanation on roundabouts, at least as they work here in Portugal.
You stay on the right lane and enter on the outer most lane on the roundabout, to go for the 1st exit, left lane if you want to enter on a more inside lane of the roundabout. If a roundabout has more than two lanes (usually the max is 3), you use the second outer for the second exit, and the inside for 3rd exit or more. If it has traffic lights before the exits, it confuses the hell out of me as well because I live in a more rural area and we don't have those around here.

Hey Jeff, if it helps, you likely had to turn off cloud saves in order to change the save game type, which allows save edit formatting. So to you and anyone who reads this, enable cloud saves once in awhile so you don't lose everything. Applies to ATS and ETS alike.

When you’re about to enter a roundabout you should go on the left lane and enter in the inner lane if you are going to the 3rd exit or further. If not, stay in the right lane and the outer lane
When you play ETS2 you can always just bring over a truck you are familiar with to use that. Obviously it'll be very tight in some places but it'll feel more like home i guess
I guess only the day cabs of 579, T680 etc. could work given how narrow European roads are.
Certainly UK roundabouts, use the outside lane, so right in Spain for right and straight over. Inside lane for third or higher exits.

I use to watch your older Euro Truck Simulator 2 (way before all of these DLC)
From time to time I play GTS2 and it's striking how well a mobile game reflects the real interior of the merc truck
The speed sign on the back of the truck, mean that Large vehicles like trucks are often not allowed to go as fast as other vehicles on many roads, because of weight. so the sign is a warning to other drivers.
Yep, you had it right for the 80 70 on that other truck's back. You're truck would have a 90 80 or 90 80 60, it's speed limits for different types of roads, which mostly have standard speed limits
When the game comes out. I like to see some more of the European truck simulator too

Such a beautiful game and can't wait for this dlc to be fully released. I will be playing Euro truck sim soon as I'm currently playing American truck sim and loving it. (FYI anyone with the Opera browser can just click links and they open as that's the main browser I use) Beautiful relaxing game, can't wait to see more.
Steam did uninstall ate for me but I still had all my mods and profiles so that's odd also I'd love the walking mode but they should also ad straight trucks like dump truck and flatbeds would be awsome

You can split up to 6L at 90. You're supposed to be at about 1200rpm when cruising.
Imagine a game like Euro Truck Simulator but massively multiplayer, with high graphics and many features that SCS don't want to implement in ETS2. Imagine walking in the map for example, or even trucking on the highway with your friend in your cabin, both with a VR headset! Could be very nice!
Not sure if this is your problem, but one possible issue your having with steam is Games being automatically deleted typically happens when you have a Family Share going on, and Steam is no longer able to authenticate that you have a valid connection (in which case its likely still on your system, just not in your Steam menu). Or games may appear uninstalled when Steam no longer recognizes the installation files. As long as the game folders are still in the proper location, attempting to launch a game will prompt a download. This will allow Steam to recognize the installation files during the download process. If it fails to recognize the files, it prompts a redownload.

Nope, I haven't had that issue with Steam maybe because you haven't touched a game in awhile steam auto uninstalls to keep storage clear.

I'm doing a diesel delivery from Vienna to Jersey, and the trucks make a full stop when on the merge lane, causing traffic jams even when the merge lane is 100 metres long, like in Germany.
