Do you know that Cedar Point is the ultimate family destination? Theme parks can be quite a challenge, but we are here to help you plan out the perfect day at a park!
In this video, we visited Cedar Point on a holiday weekend…How did it go? We also went to the Waterpark. Was that a good decision?
We first headed to the back of the park and checked out the progress on Top Thrill 2. Top Thrill 2 is the newest roller coaster, set to open in the 2024 season. It will replace the extremely popular Top Thrill Dragster.
Next, we headed to ride Steel Vengeance. With only a 30 minute wait it was one of the shortest waits we have ever seen. Camp Snoopy was almost empty, and Ana loved riding the Great Balloon Race. Even Woodstock Express and Wilderness Run had short waits!
With temps in the high 80’s, we decided to leave Cedar Point and head to Cedar Point Shores. This is the Waterpark located directly next to Cedar Point, and is included in a Cedar Point Gold pass. The Waterpark was packed!!! We were barely able to find a place to put down our bags. We definitely do not recommend the Waterpark on a holiday weekend! It was extremely busy. We did enjoy the VIP lounge.
After cooling off in the water, we headed to Back Beat Que for a snack. We ordered 3 sides of Mac and cheese and it was delicious! After our snack we headed to the boardwalk to ride Matterhorn, Scrambler and the Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper was a walk on!! We ended the night with the entire group including good night baby Leo riding the Kiddie Kingdom Carousel.
Overall we had a really nice time! We love that we were able to take you along for the ride!
