Same here--the silence of the scene along with tobey's grunts as he's dodging the obstacles and using them to propel himself further--in addition to the slow-mo effects of the metals. jeezus raimi really did know how to portray spider-man on film. to this day, his portrayal of spider-man is the best! you really get a sense of him swinging

Tobeys Spider-Man was so skilled to this point that you can hear his heart beat stay calm through out that whole saving Gwen sequence
Tobey's grunts are so realistic and so good for the impact of these scenes. You really feel as though it's real and he's really dispensing his energy swinging.

No matter how visually great the Webb's films are, Raimi's filmmaking is pretty amazing to this day.
Almost every shot looks on-point. There was rarely a time where I was taken out of this movie by bad CGI, and it was what would be expected out of 2007, like fully CG faces.

Andrew was the spiderman I grew up with but the reason why I like him is because he was relatable to me personally. Life often has a way of pushing you around and making you feel powerless and insignificant, so seeing Andrew's Peter Parker go from some kid that got bullied to a confident and occasional show-off was just so nice to see, cause honestly I would act the same if I had those powers. Andrew's spiderman may not have been perfect for many, but he just feels like the guy I would want to be: A nice guy who helps others but won't be walked over

Probably his spider sense just providing him all the vibrations within the vicinity including his own heartbeat.
It shows you that even with super strength reflexes and agility Spider-Man still has to use all his senses and stay perfectly balanced. He is calculating everything in his environment and probably slightly panicking

Not true. Sam Raimi took away the traditional spider sense sound effect that he used in the previous two movies and replaced it with his heartbeat. It's showing us that the spider sense is slowing his heart down. Allowing time to feel a lot slower to him.

This shows that experience > ability. Tobey used his webs to go faster and catch gwen by himself; Andrew used his web to catch her but it didn’t worked. So in NWH he used Tobey’s technique to catch MJ, cause he knew that using webs is dangerous.

i think the spidey in the raimi trilogy had a muscle suit in his suit ik that tobey got ripped for these movies but at some points when he had the suit on he literally looked like a body builder

This is whats been severely missed in the MCU's Spider-Man, Sam's use of his suspended camera tech took us for the ride of swinging with Spider-Man as he does breath taking acrobatics & parkour through and with any environment he navigates in, while in the MCU web swinging is just a means to get from point A to point B treating it like its a fast travel button
No matter how hard disney tries they'll never be able to recreate these outstanding scenes again

One thing I’ve noticed about the mcu Spider-Man that I feel completely misses the theme of Spider-Man is that we never actually see any scene of him saving any one excluding his friends. He’s always doing super hero avengers thing stopping villains and stuff but we don’t see him saving average people and strangers like in this scene or the scene in the amazing Spider-Man where Garfield Spider-Man saves that boy in the burning car

Although I have my problems with MCU Spidey, I do feel he sometimes gets some unfair criticism. Although it's true there are no sequences of him saving people, like this one, there are other sequences with just as much merit. (e.g. mysterio sequence or vulture figuring out his identity).
I think a big reason for this is the difference in focus and themes between Raimi Spidey and MCU spidey. Raimi's Spidey films tended to focus on Spidey and his relationship with Mary Jane, as well as his connection to New York and the people and his nature as a hero. Hence more sequences of him saving random people etc. MCU Spidey tends to focus more on the characters and world around him and his existence in a larger universe, as well as his struggles as a high school student and being treated like a kid all the time while also facing unrealistic expectations from his fellow heroes.
Also another thing to mention is that, although they aren't as prominent, there are still little sequences with similar purposes littered throughout. People forget Spider-Man is still his own hero in the MCU, he existed before Stark recruited him. In Civil War we see him stop a car from crashing a bus with no other motive other than doing the right thing.
Homecoming has an opening montage of him stopping crimes and helping out about the city.
He has clearly already fought and imprisoned scorpion as we see at the end of Homecoming.
I'm not saying MCU Spidey is perfect I'm just saying they are focusing on different aspects of Spider-Man's character.
In my opinion neither Raimi nor MCU Spider are what I'd call my favourite interpretation of Peter Parker Spidey. Outside of comics, mine would probably be either the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon or the PS4 game.
TL;DR
If you look at the comics there are many different aspects of Spider-Man that you could call the essence of his character and different stories focus on different aspects to suit the story.
My point is people tend to give MCU Spidey unwarranted hate and make comparisons which aren't necessarily fair because they are trying to achieve different things in their films.
MrHappyJuice I really hate it when people call Tom’s Spider-Man, “Iron Man Jr.” It’s a different Spider-Man, in a universe where other superheroes exist and where cosmic villains are a threat.

I’m not saying he’s completely useless and I understand they’re doing a different direction but the mcu Spider-Man just feels a bit 2 dimensional because it doesn’t have the “friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man” vibe and it certainly doesn’t have the emotions of the previous films

It's interesting how this one managed to alter Gwen's fate because of one minor quick thinking decision.

At end this mostly gwen fault for trying to help peter, writers basically wanted gwen dead so there wasn't hope to begin with

Garfield made no attempt to close ground, but instead shot a 100-foot web rope, which still had to slack tension once it connected with her.
