Haven’t smelled any fragrances from this house yet, but definitely would like to try this one. I’ve made fragrance purchases based on your reviews and haven’t struck out yet, love them all.

Layton is definitely my fav PDM. Based on your description of Percival, I'm picturing something like Nick Jonas × John Varvatos minus the herbs with a little something extra.
I tried the NJ x JV fragrance a couple of weeks ago, and it's quite different from Percival. But I just looked it up, and you could not have made a better comparison! They have so many similar notes: lavender, clearwood, etc. Nice catch!

I must say that my favorite PDM Fragrance is Layton, I haven't had the opportunity to smell them all but out of the ones that I have and do own I would say Layton.... great video!

Great, detailed review, Steven. I haven't had the pleasure to get acquainted to a Parfum de Marly fragrance, but when I hear you and Carlos chat about Percival, that would be one of my favourites.

My favourite is Herod because it smells like a good tobacco and with its vanilla, both of them do the perfect mix. I really love it ^^
my favorite is Godolphin .love it. the presentation u made about incredients made me think about some older perfume so i sniffed my bottles and i went oh this! when i found Jaques Bogart for men. is it similar in some way?
I don't find it too similar. Percival is a bit more contemporary, and Jacques Bogart is a bit more green on account of the patchouli. Thank you for watching!

I haven't tried Carlisle and a few others like Godolphin, so it's hard to say with absolute certainty, but probably a toss up between Pegasus and Oajan. Both are so amazing, great performance and projection. I love them so much!
I'm psyched to get my nose on this one soon :)

I discovered this fragrance in 2019 while having a tuxedo custom made and I can tell you this is the fragrance I will be wearing while attending any formal event. I simply love it and it works well with my body oils. I have since become a fan of the Parfum de Marly.

So, excited for this release. I've only had good luck with anything I've purchased from PDM. Pegasus and Carlisle are tied for favorites.
My favorite fragrance from PDM is Pegasus. This floral, almond, and vanilla scent is wonder and stylish. It gives me so much energy and that's what makes it's awesome. My love for Layton and Carlisle dosent fall too far behind this one. I am definitely hype to try Percival when I get the chance.
Nice review. My very first purchase from PDM was Herod. And that's my personal fav. I tried others and they smell brilliant. But Herod just has a special place in my heart..
I just finally got ahold of some today, and I smell a HUGE similarity to the original Eternity, except this keeps pushing long after Eternity would be dead and gone. But I can’t believe that I haven’t seen anyone mentioning this (yet) but I’m sure someone has. It takes me straight back to the early 90’s or so, and keeps me there, so it’s not exactly original, but I like it very much.
Hands down Herod, it's one of the most loved on fragnatica

Amazing, detailed review as always Steven. I would have to say that Herod & Oajan are my two favorites from this house. Just waiting for a bit cooler weather to wear the latter of the two! I have yet to try Percival, hopefully I love it enough to justify the price point! Have a great day.

My favorite is Layton hands down, I feel like there isnt a situation that you cant wear it in, I just try not to wear it out here in Vegas when its higher than about 85 degrees

Redolessence thank you, Steven! I am currently trying to decide between Percival and Carlisle (one of your recommendations). Tried them both and loved them. Of course, they’re completely different scents, but to my wallet they’re pretty much in the same ballpark 😂

Steven I finally got this and my first niche fragrance and I couldn’t be happier! Only question I have is that I tend to go nose blind to fragrances really bad, like within minutes of applying I can’t smell them so I was wondering how many sprays do you suggest for this? Thanks!

Layton is my number one favorite. Parfums de Marly are the top of the game in my opinion and I can't wait pick this one up!

I own Herod, Layton and Galloway and just from the 'holy crap that's amazing' factor, Galloway is my favorite. Herod is for when it's cold out *like a week or two here in the desert, and Layton is my colder weather weekend scent. Really looking forward to Percival! Thanks for another great video!

Possibly the most underrated PDM. I'd pick this over Layton any day. Fresh, gets compliments and versatile enough for any occasion.

Great in depth review as always. I'd like to get my nose on this one. I agree with you regarding the presentation... I know PDM will always stick to those bottles but they can get a little more creative with the colours at least.
Heard a lot of this brand, but do not know it. Haven’t had the opportunity to smell it.

I think lavender is an awesome scent ! So far, my fav PDM scent is between Oajan and Galloway !!! What house do you prefer, Creed or PDM ???
In terms of versatility, I always recommend Creed. PdM, however, has some awesome fragrances on the niche side!

So disappointed in this fragrance! I received a sample and to me it smelled like Abercrombie and Fitch or Axe body spray.

I love Abercrombie Fitch, I love Mont Blanc Legend
Both of them have low perfomance, and finding vintage Aber Fitch is getting harder and harder.
It is perfectly reasonable to compare two bottles below:
- Foconero by Tiziani Terenzi
- Percival by Parfum de Marley
Since both of them are said to be niche version of Abercrombie and Fitch and both of them have good perfomance.
Please help me to choose the better one, since I havent tried them. Which one is better in your opinion ?

Great Vid - I would have to say my favorite is Layton...in fact I'm wearing it now. Oddly it didn't start out that way. I initially didn't care for Layton, but after it settled I was very pleased with it.

Sounds great. I've only tried Herod and don't love it. Want to try this and Exclusif.
So easy to wear. I own Layton, Herod, Pegasus and Percival. I love them all. This one is the easiest to wear its my everyday scent. My favourite is Layton.
